"These gentlemen worked tirelessly to clean my tile floor, re-color the grout, and seal the grout--which was never done before. These 2 men were great, and I would recommend them!"

"Wonderfully! The sellers had hired a cleaning service prior to our closing and they did an awful job so we were so disheartened when we saw our new home. I contacted Rafael and he found two lovely ladies who were able to come the following day, Anna and Katie, and they left our new home sparkling! We will definitely hire again and highly recommend! A++++"

"I have worked with Eric over several years. I work as a real estate broker so when tenants are moving out, they sometimes think their carpets need replacing to get their house ready to sell. I let them know that they probably just need to be cleaned, so after Eric cleans them, they can not believe how good the carpets look! I have worked with other companies before that did the work too quickly where you were not sure if they actually got cleaned. Eric takes care of all my carpets because he takes time and care and does excellent work. He is very reasonable, and I recommend him to my clients that are putting their house on the market as well as friends."

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

There are a few reasons your area rug smells after cleaning. First, you might have agitated dirt, dust, and pet dander deep in the rug during cleaning, which might smell for a day or two if you didn’t remove it all. Second, if your rug smells like chemicals, it’s possible you didn’t rinse out all of the rug cleaning solution you used. Finally, if you didn’t hang up your rug to dry completely, it could be holding moisture and allowing mold to grow. In any of these cases, it’s a good idea to defer to a professional for help.

Looking clean is only half the battle. A professionally cleaned carpet should feel soft and fluffy, i.e., not caked down with dirt or matted from excess cleaning product. It will not have any unpleasant odors, since carpet cleaners go deep enough to eliminate the most sunk-in smells. It should also be free of stains or discoloration from heavy foot traffic. Keep in mind that, in some cases, your cleaner may not be able to remove every stain.

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.

In some cases, yes, it’s safe to spray hydrogen peroxide on your mattress, but the solution can damage memory foam mattresses, so you should only use it on non-memory foam mattresses. If you have a standard spring mattress, you can mix hydrogen peroxide with cold water in a 1:1 ratio and spray that on your urine-soaked mattress. If you’re cleaning pee out of a memory foam mattress, swap out the hydrogen peroxide for white distilled vinegar, or call in a professional mattress cleaner to avoid doing damage to your mattress.

How you freshen a musty carpet depends on what’s causing it to smell funky. Baking soda can soak up some smells, and vinegar is a natural deodorizer. These DIY solutions can lift out light odors. However, steam cleaning or hot water extraction may be the best way to clean your carpet when the smell is deeply ingrained. These penetrate deep into carpet fibers and can remove musty mold spores and pet urine smells.
