After the first (and only) cleaning, I was disappointed. They had made "major league plays" but had overlooked minor league requirements. The floor was not swept. The bathrooms floors and corners were not clean. Cobwebs were still clinging to the corners (I had left them purposefully). Our beds looked great, the kitchen sparkled and it smelled pretty good, but when I had to re-sweep after they left, I was pretty bummed.
When I asked them about this (they say the LOVE critical comments), they said my house takes more time than they expected and they didn't get to everything they wanted to in the allotted time. One day later, I received a text message from them, saying they had to let ME go, for they didn't have the space available like they thought to clean my house.
Beware. All show, no go.
"First of all I want to thank Angie's List for giving me the opportunity to comment about this remark. I have had the pleasure of cleaning for the members for the past year. I was hired to clean their beautiful home on a biweekly basis ( every two weeks) since the both of them work long hours. In order to keep a strong communication open between my services and the client, I have developed several ways and have encouraged all my clients to maintain a level of communication so that my services might exceed their expectations. On July 3rd I came to clean and had the pleasure of talking to the member as he was leaving. He indicated to me that he was very pleased with my cleaning services and no issues of concerns were mentioned. I returned back to the home on the next scheduled cleaning, July 17, and cleaned as usual. The next morning at 6:22 am I received a text from the Mrs. stating to please read the email she sent at 8:52pm the previous evening and respond as soon as possible. The Mrs stated in her email that she was unhappy with her floors since I had used a swiffer mop and that she needed her floors redone by 7am. I contacted the member's wife by text reminding her of the initial interview we had prior to me cleaning for her that I did not use swiffer mops and on all check off sheets left by me each cleaning it clearly states how the floors were cleaned. I then told her that I would be more than happy to come redo her floors sometime during that day as I could not get to her house by 7 am that morning. I was more than happy to accommodate his wife's request but just couldn't get to her home by the time frame I was given. She decided to dis- continue her cleaning services with me since I could not get to her home by 7am that morning and asked for me to please mail back her house key. After reading the remarks that she stated I am very sorry that we lost our chain of communication and am very saddened that we could not work things out. I enjoyed cleaning for them and will miss them. I would like to add, that if I was given the chance to make things right and have the privilege of cleaning for this family again, I would definitely consider it.
