"This is the second time in 3 years that Texas Quality Plumbing had fixed this clog for us. They are effective in that the clog was removed both times. My problem is with the price. The same service 3 years ago with the same company was $190. This time they charged us $385...I feel like we got ripped off. I called the office to ask for money back and instead of listening to my concerns, they said that I was under charged the first time. I'll be taking my plumbing business elsewhere next time."

"Troy Watts came out and searched for the source of the leak. It did not take him long to determine that it was coming from the toilet in the adjoining bathroom. A price was quoted and I approved the work. There were multiple issues with the toilet mounting and Troy repaired them all without an increase in the quote. He stayed for awhile after the repair was completely done to make sure the leak was repaired. He cleaned up the bathroom thoroughly. "Very well. Paul and John were right on time when they said they would be. Another company had come out 3 days before for the same problem, supposedly cleaned the sewer line and told me I would have to replace the line because it was damaged. His cleaning job lasted a whole 3 days before the line backed up again.. Paul spent a good deal of time thoroughly cleaning the sewer out and unlike the previous plumber, found the cause of the problem. A piece of chicken wire had made its way into the sewer line and eventually blocked it. So for $300.00 I was saved from having to spend a possible $3000.00 for line replacement. "No issues on the install.  Trey and his helper arrived on time (they called about 15 minutes before they arrived).  They got down to work right away.  One toilet was removed with no issue but the other took a bit more work.  Trey was concerned the flange may be broken.  Eventually Trey was able to get the toilet removed and it turned out the fasteners were spinning in place (flange was not broken).  It only took a short time to see that Trey really did have a lot of experience as a plumber despite being a young man.  Overall, it went really well. They also cleaned up really well before they left and hauled the older toilets away.
Afterwards, I asked Trey to take a look at our water heater, dishwasher and kitchen sink as we hope to replace these in the near future.  I then called Lee (Owner) and he was able to add a bit more information for me to review.

The job to snake the bathroom sink line was $225.  Perhaps that's the current rate and, if so, okay...then grade in this category could possibly be an A.  But I still took a deep breath and paid it. They were the only ones who could come out the same day that I called.

"This past weekend, my third floor toilet/sinks were backing up due to a lost plumbing snake. I called SmartChoice and spoke with Carlos this past Sunday. He came out Sunday night and looked at the situation. He returned Monday with Travis and tried to get the snake out but couldn't (He removed the toiled, put in a camera and tried taking it out that way). He finally returned this morning (with Travis) and finished the job. He cut into the wall into our garage and pulled it out. I really appreciated the fact that Carlos tried multiple ways to get the snake out before cutting into the wall. He did not immediately pick the most expensive option.
During all 3 visits, Carlos (and Travis) were very professional. They were on time, very detailed with their explanation on what needed to be come. I called multiple plumbers last Sunday before choosing SmartChoice. They had the best price. I HIGHLY recommend this company. I will definitely call them in the future if I have more plumbing issues.
