DBA Justhoneydos. Subs used for electrical, plumbing and HVAC. We are only paid at the end of the project once the customer is 100% satisfied. We offer financing based on the size of the project. Additional phone - (210) 433-6441.

"We had a leak in the wall of our upstairs shower which damaged the subfloor upstairs and leaked into the kitchen downstairs. After getting it dryed out by Serve Pro, I contacted Solis General Contractor to do the repairs upstairs and downstairs. Mr. Solis came over, assessed the damages and provided a quote within 3hrs. We secured his team to do the job and they did GREAT work! I am VERY PLEASED and would refer him to anyone needing repairs. He communicated with me every step of the way; returned all calls & texts; his crew was on time and timely; they pulled up lanolium, put down new subfloor, treated it and put down tile; they also did drywall, texture, painted; installed new toilets; very clean in their work; did walkthroughs & fixed any imperfections; were fair in pricing; and trustworthy. If you need home repairs in the San Antonio area, CALL Vincent Solis!!! Total QUALITY contractor!!! 5 STARS!!! He is the real deal."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Yes, the furnace and AC use the same blower. The blower is located in the base of the furnace and pushes hot air out of the furnace and into the ducts. It also pushes cool air through the home when the air conditioning is on. Even though the furnace and air conditioning work independently of one another, the blower is an essential component for both systems.

If your central AC is not blowing cold air, you should try resetting the system. Many systems have a reset button. Make sure your thermostat is off, then turn off the circuit breaker that powers your AC. Hold the reset button for three to five seconds, then turn the circuit back on. Set your thermostat to cool and choose a temperature cooler than the room. Your system should turn on quickly.

The best way to reduce heat upstairs is to release it by opening a window. Hot air rises, and if you can create some airflow by opening a window upstairs and also one on a lower level, the hot air should be pushed out of the home. Remember that fans pointing out the window do a much better job of circulating air than fans pointing into the home.

Keeping your air filter clean is crucial for your heat pump's efficiency. As a general rule, you should check your air filter every 1 to 3 months. However, the actual frequency might vary depending on factors like the type of filter, indoor air quality, and the amount of dust and debris in your area. If you notice the filter is visibly dirty or clogged, it's a clear sign it needs attention sooner. Regular filter maintenance ensures proper airflow and helps your heat pump perform optimally, keeping your indoor air fresh and comfortable.

This is a bit of a trick question. Even though the seasons arrive at the same time every year, the weather doesn’t always behave according to the calendar. So, while it’s fair to say that you can expect to turn on your AC starting in late May or early June, it all depends on the outside temperature and how cool you like to keep your home.
