"We were given a competitive quote, and the custom shed build exceeded expectations. The owners went out of their way to check on the quality of work and make sure we were satisfied. I would definitely recommend this company based on our experience."

"I hired Ron for various projects. He replaced the tile in my foyer. He completely remodeled a basement family room, including a mini kitchen with cabinets, counters and sink. He replaced all fixtures in a bathroom ( toilet, sink, medicine cabinet). He replaced all the doors in my house. He also replaced all the lighting fixtures in my house. He is always prompt. He quotes you a reasonable price and time frame for when he can do the job and sticks to it. We were always satisfied with his work."

"Completed all 140â of my cedar split rail fence. I sent Shawn a pic of how I wanted the fence to look since I was out of town and he built it just like the picture. I would use him again."

Carpentry questions, answered by experts

When deciding whether to use nails or screws for framing, the specific needs of the project must be taken into account. Nails have long been the go-to option for framing due to their affordability, ease of installation, and ability to withstand shear forces. They are perfect for structural framing projects where fast assembly is essential. In contrast, screws offer exceptional holding power and are particularly useful in situations requiring increased strength and resistance to pull-out forces. For projects that prioritize accuracy and long-lasting quality, screws may be the preferred option, though nails remain a dependable and efficient choice.

Most load-bearing walls are exterior, though they can also be interior.

A-frame homes are on the smaller side. While there’s no set square footage amount it has to be, it will usually come in around 1,000 square feet or smaller.

To calculate the number of linear feet of baseboard you’ll need, measure the length of each wall of the room you’re installing them in as close to the floor as possible, rounding up to the next full linear foot. If it’s your first DIY molding job, having a few extra feet on hand for miscuts is a good idea.

Building a barndominium means converting a barn into a house. Barndominiums are becoming popular as spacious and stylish alternatives to typical housing structures. Old barns that become houses traditionally consist of wooden construction. However, newer structures, such as pole barns, often contain metal exteriors and roofs. Converting a metal outbuilding into a house presents an excellent opportunity to create a barndominium from metal.
