"It went great. The pricing is reasonable. The person that showed up was great with customer service and was very knowledgeable. He completed the fence work, remodeled my kitchen including the cabinets, he laid down tiles, repaired my bathroom, did the plumbing, landscaping, and everything. He was able to work around my schedule because I work on a tight shift at my job."

"Dalton did an excellent job remodeling two bathrooms for us. He showed up ready to work and quickly took care of the first remodel. We then hired him to take the work on our other bathroom that was left in a mess by another contractor. He was really easy to work with, did excellent work, and made sure we were happy with the work when he was finished. Iâ d highly recommend Dalton!"

"A young man named Arron came out to bid the job and informed me that this would be his first butcher block counter top installation. He gave me a good bid on the job so my wife and I decided to hire him and give him a little experience in the butcher block installation. We could not be happier that we did. Arron was very professional and did an excellent job on the counter top. I would recommend him on any counter top job someone may have. Thanks Arron."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can’t say enough good things about Willy’s Painting. He painted both my house and my shed and did extensive repair and sealing work, and the difference is night and day. Before, the shed looked worn out and unfinished. Now it looks clean, intentional, and like it truly belongs on the property. The paint is smooth, the color match is spot on, and the roofline work tied everything together perfectly. Willy did far more than just paint. He removed and replaced an old shed door, sealed that area and all holes, replaced rotting wood, installed new support beams, insulated the interior walls, added a wall, installed a concrete drain, replaced siding, and sealed the entire interior. The shed feels more solid, cleaner, and much more usable now. He also pressure washed the house before painting and handled repairs where needed. Willy was professional, easy to communicate with, showed up when he said he would, and clearly takes pride in his work."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

You cannot tile directly over hot mop waterproofing because tile requires a smooth, solid surface to adhere properly. Additionally, the shower bed pan needs to be raised and sloped toward the drain to prevent water from pooling. However, you can hot mop and apply a sloped mortar bed over the top (to which the tile can then be adhered).

Yes, you can tile over existing shower tiles, but it's better to remove the old tiles first for the best results. Tiling over existing tiles requires a clean, level surface and proper adhesion. If the old tiles are in good condition, you can roughen the surface to improve adhesion. However, removing the old tiles ensures a smoother, longer-lasting finish and prevents potential issues down the line.

Whether you want to match your tile trim with grout comes down to your personal preferences. If you match the two, it can help your tiles to stand out while providing a clean, cohesive look. On the other hand, you might opt to match your tile trim with your tiles. The best option will depend largely on your tile design, as well as how it fits overall with the rest of your room.

Technically, you can start tiling in a corner and work your way out. However, it's not traditionally how tiling is done. Instead, work from the bottom middle of the wall. Tile out the entire row with whole tiles before moving on to the next row. Once you finish installing all of the whole tiles, then you focus on tiling the corners.

When working on your bathroom floor tiling, you should always tile the floor first and then refit the toilet afterward. This has both practical and visual advantages—the tile will have a better seal, and the installation will look cleaner.

On the other hand, when you try to cut the tiles to fit around the toilet, you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage. It’s a lot more work, it’s hard to be precise, and mistakes or miscalculations can lead to future moisture damage to the tiling, grout, and subfloor.
