My primary business is consulting on buildings that have construction defects that allow moisture intrusion, rot, mold, etc. I also work with builders on new buildings to assist in the sequencing and selection of products to prevent moisture intrusion, promote long-term building performance, ie., concrete curing, roof flashing, window and door installation, moisture barriers, basement waterproofing, etc.

Individually owned business with two employees. I do also do some sub-contracting on certain jobs. I've been in this line of work for 10 years. My business is also listed on other sites like google, thumbtack, and home advisor. I accept checks and credit cards as well as cash. I do not expect full payment up front. My rule is I get some up front and the rest can be paid in throughout the job and the rest be paid upon completion.

"Robbed, flat out. Took me for supplies, came back with partial (old crap) and then never showed, after weeks of excuses. Wife, supposedly, and himself. Look this guy up, he just robs people and seemingly gets away with it. Also seems to do shoddy work. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. Willing to rip off older people as well. Is he still in the area? Probably moved on to newer hunting grounds."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

Yes, adding water to concrete will increase its slump, so you should do so with caution. Always measure the slump of the concrete batch before you adjust it, and be sure not to add too much and push the slump too high. Doing so can cause the aggregate to separate, set inconsistently, or shrink.

Minor hairline cracks in your concrete may not look pretty, but they’re often not serious. It’s when concrete cracks are larger—wide enough that you can slide a credit card into it—that you need to worry. If you monitor a crack and can trace its active expansion over time, you’ll definitely want to call in a pro to inspect it and, potentially, repair it. Want to prevent cracks in your garage and driveway concrete in the future? Stay on top of sealing. Here’s how to seal your concrete garage floor and driveway.

The standard thickness for a concrete driveway is four inches for an area that holds cars and pickup trucks. Larger vehicles like motor homes, heavier trucks, and trailers should be thicker to accommodate the added weight without cracking. Plan to pour concrete five inches thick for driveways that need to accommodate large, heavy vehicles.

Whether you make concrete countertops yourself or hire a pro, they’re not the most budget-friendly surface options, and because they’re porous, they require regular resealing. Another con of concrete countertops is that they’re heavy, meaning additional reinforcing support is sometimes necessary to protect your cabinets and possibly even your floors.

Yes, you can put too much rebar in concrete. Too much reinforcement can cause strain in the concrete, leading to cracking. Air pockets can also form in the gaps between rebar when concrete fails to fill the space properly. The placement and installation of rebar is a specialized skill, so consult an experienced pro before proceeding.
