Needed a pool filled in. Seemed like an easy enough project, but soon was in over my head and needed professional help. Josh was super easy to work with. offered lots of honest, cost saving advice. The project went under budget and was done early. All I could ever want. Honest, reliable professional help. I can't recommend them enough !!!

Joshua was excellent to work with. Very responsive. And did a great job. Would give an A+++ if Angie's List supported it:) We needed a 24 foot by 50 foot area cleared for the well drilling rig and support truck, as well as extending the existing driveway up into the woods to the cleared area. There were a significant number of medium sized trees that needed to be removed as well as a number of tree trunks. The job took a few more hours than expected due to issues with part of the area not having stable soil until digging down about 5 feet or so. But Joshua worked steadily and was able to get a stable level base for the well drillers. Spent a lot of time making sure the area was well compacted. We decided that it would be better to add crushed stone to the driveway to help control erosion and to provide more traction for the well drillers. Joshua does very good work, and he made sure that it was done right. Even with the extra work that had to be done, and the spreading of the stone the price remained the same as the initial quote plus the cost of the stone. We gave Joshua a nice bonus over and above what he charged for the job. Once the well is drilled we will have him come back to pull some of the dirt that was excavated back down since we only need to leave about half the width of the cleared area to provide access to the well for repairs in the future. We were very satisfied with the work performed by Country Boy Excavating. We had previously hired 2 other contractors to complete the work we needed done, and we wasted our money. I wish we had found Country Boy Excavating first...it would have saved us a great deal of money. They were very knowledgeable, professional, and reliable. They have their own equipment which trust me makes a big difference! We explained what we wanted and they took it a step further giving us what we wanted and needed. The cost was extremely reasonable. We would recommend this company to our own family members, that's how pleased we are with them.

Joshua was prompted and finished on time. He offered me some advice and it saved me $1000. I would highly recommend his services.

Exceptional on every level. Having no experience of my own, I relied heavily on his. He had excellent ideas and went above and beyond of my expectations. I will be hiring him going forward for phase three (house foundation) and phase four (pond construction).

These folks were as good as they get. From our very first conversation to the completion of work everything went perfectly.

Excavators are all busy and I had a hard time finding one that would work with me.  When I came across Country Boy's contact info via Angie's list I gave him a call and he answered on the first try!  He visited my building site on a weekend to scope the work, gave me an estimate within a few days and started working within 2 weeks.  Great to work with, sends pictures of his work, and always takes time to answer questions.  He does what he says he will do and more.  I plan on continuing to use him as the project moves into the next phases.

The work went very well. I scheduled several weeks out because Joshua was very busy. He was clear on the start date and arrived on time. He suggested ways to save money on types of gravel. I would recommend him again.

Joshua knocked out what I needed in a very timely manner and kept in contact every step of the way. Answers email and phone calls in a prompt and professional manner. Will most definitely use him again as I progress on this property. In my opinion went beyond what I expected. First time in a long time I felt like I got my moneys worth out of a contractor. Highly recommend for all your excavating needs.

It was very obvious that Joshua was a professional who takes pride in his work. I was so impressed and satisfied and also surprised as I did not expect all the extras he did such as adding extra run-offs off the side of driveway to carry off excess water. I didn't realize he would seed and place straw to prevent seed from washing away. He graded areas for us at no extra charge. The driveway looks great and we can easily travel up the incline. We intend to use Joshua again in the future and highly recommend him.

Joshua always communicated with us throughout the entire project.  The weather played a large factor but Josh always kept us posted and showed when he said he would.  Josh and his team worked hard to regrade our backyard, remove debris, and place topsoil to prepare for grass seed.  I also had them bury some drain pipes from the gutter to the rear of the lot versus where they came out closer to the house.  My wife and I felt good with the work and the effort put in and were able to get our grass seed and sod in before the spring rains.  We would recommend Josh and team for anyone looking to complete similar work.

I'm doing this from memory (sorry) but all went well. he and crew arrived on time, worked on the days they were supposed to, and got done on time. pleasant. did a very good job. driveway now drains well and looks great. all of our neighbors have complimented us on the job.

Once the rain stopped, Josh was prompt in starting and finishing the job. He was very courteous and professional. He also a very experienced and skilled equipment operator. He performed the work according to our expectations and within his quoted price. We definitely recommend him.

Our experience with him was excellent. He did other work for us as well, but the $750 was the amount that he added to the other job in order to remove the tree as well.

I actually contacted Josh because I had already had bids for the wall, and the driveway, but they were high. I thought that he did asphalt driveways which I thought was cheaper. Upon talking with Joshua he mentioned that no, he did not do asphalt, but the cost was comparative. So I said if he wanted he could come and give me a bid. which He did . I found that yes he was comparative. Actually he was cheaper than asphalt. While not the cheapest person he was by far the best in the area of communication. That alone was worth more than you can put a price on , anyone knows this if they have had any dealings with contractors and that should sell him alone. We started out doing only a thirty foot wall but we were so pleased with him we let him do a lot larger wall and the steps as well. We have been pleased we chose Joshua. Was he perfect no but he is real. I encourage anyone who is in need of a driveway, retain wall, any excavation work, to call and let him tell you what he can do for you, you will not be disappointed. We will utilize his services again. We need to keep contractors like Country Boy Excavation in business , they are the ones that help our economy period. Thanks again Joshua Sneed !!!!

He answered the phone right away, came out, had the work finished ahead of schedule, did a great job! I wished I could find more companies like this, I can, but only on Angies list.

Country Boy Excavating brought all of the necessary heavy equipment: backhoe, bobcat, dump truck. He is also dependable and proved to be trustworthy. I am very pleased with the work he performed. I won't hesitate to call him back if I ever need any other excavating.

Overall very pleased with job.  The estimate was provided along with some recommendations that we accepted and were glad we did.  A drainage issue was included in the recommendation and he even cleaned out a stopped gutter after it was encountered.  The excavation went smoothly, there was a slight delay on the concrete pour as the crew was behind on another project, but  they showed up the next day and crew was pleasant and professional.  I definitely recommend this contractor and  will call them again in the future when needed.

Josh is very friendly and a great communicator. He always kept me informed of where he was in the process. I would definitely hire him again.
