"Andy has done quite a lot for me at my home. On this occasion he came in and took out sink/vanities in both my bathrooms complete with facets and put in new. He painted both bathrooms. He installed two new cabinets above my toilets for more storage, and installed two mirrored cabinets above the vanities. I never felt that I needed to keep on him. He worked the whole time he was here and did an excellent job. I have had him here to my home several times for inside & outside work. I foresee him coming back in the very near future."

"All workers showed up on time and the work progressed on time. The weather was a factor but the job was finished in time and in a very professional manner. There was never a time when I had to worry if the job was being done the way it should be. There was a section of roofing on the back of the house that was done by an armature at best that caused a lot of wood rot. The foreman of the job showed me how it could be repaired and saved me over $1500 on the job.

I plan to use this provider in the future for work inside my home."

"They showed up as promised ready to work. Took about 3 hours to install electric roof vent fan and blow in some additional insulation. Professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Would use them again for future projects."

"I met kevin and his crew back in 2020. My first project with them was a small deck. I love how they take the time to explain every detail to you. They work pretty fast, I couldn't keep up. Honestly, I enjoy working with him. They also remodeled my kitchen. I give them a 10/10."

"I was very pleased with the work done by Everyday Ellis. He was able to repair the trim work and paint in my apartment to get me my full deposit back when I moved out. He also came to the new house I purchased and pressure washed for me. I am very happy with how everything turned out and will definitely hire him again in the future. Not only did he do great work but he was also affordable, efficient and pleasant to interact with."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Whether you use a brush or roller depends on the size, shape, and amount of tiles. Rollers are easier to maneuver over large areas and can apply a more even coat of paint in a shorter time frame with no visible brushstrokes. Brushes are best for precision work, particularly in very small areas. If you don't want visible brushstrokes on your painted tiles, you can paint details with small foam brushes instead of bristled paint brushes.

If the hearth ends against a wall, you can use a tile cutter as you normally would. However, if the edge of your hearth ends with no surface pressing against it,you may want to look into rounded tiles. These give a smooth edge to your hearth and make sure cut edges aren’t visible. You can also see if the tile you have has pieces that have been glazed or rounded on one edge. You’d then cut the tile and place it normally, with the cut edge facing inward.

On average, tiling a bathroom involves about 12 hours of labor, usually spread over two to three days to accommodate prep work and curing times. A professional tiler can often complete the installation in 6 to 8 hours, whereas a DIYer might take 10 to 16 hours. The total project time is influenced by factors like the bathroom layout, tile type, and necessary prep work, such as removing old tile. The process includes specific timelines for different areas; for example, tiling a floor takes about six hours, while a shower area can take six to ten hours. It is essential to allow for adequate curing time—typically 24 hours each—for the mortar, grout, and caulk, which is why the project extends over several days.

Yes, tile floor removal is a physically demanding project that takes between eight and 12 hours per 100 square feet. It also requires protective gear and closing the area off with construction-grade plastic sheeting to avoid dust and damage to other parts of your home.

Generally speaking, it is better to cut tile wet when using a fast-moving wet saw to reduce dust and chipping. However, tile can be cut dry when using just about any cutting tool. Dry cutting will result in a bigger mess and may increase the risk of chipping or cracking, but if you’re just making small cuts, dry cutting is a safe and viable option. Cutting dry also means you can apply tile grout sooner, so it’s better for rushed projects.
