Small jobs welcome

"Steve and Jim were on time, their work was extremely professional, knowledgeable; and took great care to not disturb or damage my home and property. They dropped the tree, removed the wood and debris and cleaned the area with great care. I've had other tree people before, but Better Tree Service did outstanding work. I WILL contract with them again when needed."

"This is the go to tree service company in our area in my estimation, the ower & his two man crew did an outstanding job removing a dead 60 yr old Maple , the professionalism combined with their friendly personalities made me a retired senior very comfortable, the pricing is very fair & their attention to detail is excellent, they also went out of their way for full clean-up also stacking wood for me to use later , I have had experience with other tree services in the past but none impressed me like J&T tree service.....also want to give a shout-out to the tree climber who showed excellent knowledge of the job & the skill to do it right."

"Highly recommend B&B Tree Management. They removed a tree that had fallen on the garage in a recent storm and trimmed several large maple trees at a later date. The work was completed quickly and the yard cleaned of any limbs/sticks and leaves that were the result of the work. Thumbs up to a great group of people!"

"Freddy was so very kind and professional I told him that I wanted a certain tree cut down and he instead offered to just cut the more rotten limbs and shape up the rest So I agreed and the tree turned out so beautifully I’m so glad I took his advice I will definitely have him come back again and do some more tree work for me Additionally his office kept in touch with me from start to finish to make sure everything was going to my satisfaction Thanks so much! "I had received a lowball bid from another tree company. They kept cancelling on me and I finally decided I needed to find a company that would do what they said they would do. I called Dalton tree service on a Wednesday, and they were able to remove my tree on a Friday. They arrived when they said they would, and did a fantastic job of safely removing the tree, grinding the stump and then cleaning up afterwards. I highly recommend these guys"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

While the fastest way to kill a tree is to simply cut it down, there are several other methods to choose from. You should hire a professional tree removal service to cut down a tree to ensure your personal and property safety. Some slower but effective options include treating or grinding the tree stump or using a basal bark treatment.

Dead trees are dangerous for several reasons. They are structurally compromised and prone to branch or trunk failure, which can pose a significant safety risk to people, vehicles, and nearby structures. Dead trees can also harbor pests like termites, which may spread to other trees or your home. If a tree died from a disease, it could spread the illness to healthy trees. Additionally, the dry wood is highly flammable, increasing fire risk.

On grafted trees, tree suckers will grow from the root stock, not the branches grafted onto it. Therefore, the leaves and characteristics of the suckers aren’t the same as the tree because they are different varieties. Root stock has more hardiness, strength, or drought tolerance than its grafted limbs, so if the suckers are from fruit or flowers, it might be different than the main part of your tree.

Pruning trees during the summer can be a bad idea because the new growth will take place during the hottest months of the year, which can stress your tree out. Similarly, pruning during the early fall can be a bad idea, too, because you’d be stimulating new growth when most trees are aiming to go dormant.

Pruning recommendations will vary by the type of tree, but generally, waiting until winter to prune your trees is a good idea.

Using Epsom salt to kill a tree stump typically takes between six and 12 months. While this may seem like a long time, it is significantly faster than the natural decomposition process, which can take up to seven years. This method is a viable DIY option for stumps that do not pose an immediate hazard. If you need a faster solution, you can hire a professional for stump removal or grinding, though this may cause more damage to the surrounding ground.
