".The old water heater (electric) was  erratic in heating the water (sometimes it would be hot and only warm after several hours being idle)  I assumed that the thermostats needed to be replaced. After Matt arrived and determined that the water heater was more than 15 years old,  he suggested that it be replaced with a new one that would be more efficient. Because  it's age had already exceeded the average life expectancy of electric water heaters, he stated that it might be a waste of money if the unit failed soon after replacing the thermostats.
The plumbers changed out the water heaters and did a good job of cleaning up after the installation had been completed. There were no surprises in the cost quoted before the work was started and the quality of work was what I had expected.
I selected Matt to do the job after running into him where we both did business and I learned that he was on Angies' list. I reviewed the evaluations reported to Angies' list by previous customers who used Matt and made the decision to use his company.
