"A little pricey, but when you're trying to get something fixed outside of major cities in the SE AL area, Mr. Electric is about the only pro who would even return my calls! Not to mention, when they said they'd be at a certain spot at a certain time, they were there! Literally not a single other "professional" in the area that I've worked with has been able to match that service. Sometimes you really *do* get what you pay for."

"We hired Parker to add more lights in several rooms of our house. They did an excellent job and were very reasonably priced. About 6 months after the job was done, we had an issue with one of the new switches. Mike came out and problem solved the issue and took care of it. He was thorough and gracious throughout the job. We definitely recommend them for any electrical work."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Murfreesboro, overloading outlets with window AC units during hot months, ignoring tripped breakers, and using extension cords as permanent solutions can strain your electrical system. DIY electrical fixes, letting shrubs or debris block outdoor panels, and allowing moisture near wiring—especially after heavy rain—can all cause premature wear. Regularly checking outlets and scheduling inspections helps protect your electrical investment.

Helpful?

In Murfreesboro, unexpected costs during electrical projects often arise from the need to update old electrical panels, address outdated wiring like knob-and-tube, or bring systems up to current code. Additional expenses may come from trenching for new lines in clay soil, repairing hidden water damage, or dealing with pest-related wiring issues, especially in older or historic homes.

Helpful?

Murfreesboro homes built before 1990, especially in established neighborhoods, often need electrical panel upgrades or home rewiring. If your house lacks GFCI outlets in kitchens or bathrooms, or you’re planning to add smart home features or a home office, it’s a good time for electrical improvements. Homes with limited outlets or older fuse boxes especially benefit from modern upgrades.

Helpful?

In Murfreesboro, frequent breaker trips, lights dimming during storms, or outlets that feel warm or spark are strong signs you need electrical work. Many homes here, especially those built before 1980, have outdated wiring or panels. If the issue only affects one appliance or occurs after heavy rain, it may be a plumbing or appliance issue instead.

Helpful?

Completing electrical projects in Murfreesboro immediately improves safety, reduces fire risks, and ensures your home can handle modern appliances during humid summers and stormy weather. Long-term, you’ll enjoy increased property value, better energy efficiency, and readiness for future upgrades like electric vehicle charging. Updated wiring and panels also make your home more attractive to buyers and can lower insurance premiums.
