"A little pricey, but when you're trying to get something fixed outside of major cities in the SE AL area, Mr. Electric is about the only pro who would even return my calls! Not to mention, when they said they'd be at a certain spot at a certain time, they were there! Literally not a single other "professional" in the area that I've worked with has been able to match that service. Sometimes you really *do* get what you pay for."

"We hired Parker to add more lights in several rooms of our house. They did an excellent job and were very reasonably priced. About 6 months after the job was done, we had an issue with one of the new switches. Mike came out and problem solved the issue and took care of it. He was thorough and gracious throughout the job. We definitely recommend them for any electrical work."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

When hiring in Lebanon, choose electricians familiar with Middle Tennessee codes and experienced with both historic and newer homes. Ensure they can handle local permits, carry insurance, and provide references from Wilson County residents. Ask about their experience with storm-related repairs and rural properties. Avoid anyone requesting full payment upfront or lacking a local address, especially after severe weather events.

Helpful?

In Lebanon, keep children and pets away from work areas and use temporary barriers during electrical projects. Install tamper-resistant outlets and lockable panels, especially in older homes. For outdoor spaces or pool areas, make sure GFCI protection and weatherproof outdoor lighting are in place. Teach family members the location of the main shutoff and use battery-backup smoke detectors to prepare for Middle Tennessee’s frequent storms.

Helpful?

In Lebanon, it’s safe to reset a tripped breaker, replace light bulbs, or test GFCI outlets—always after turning off the power and confirming surfaces are cool. If you notice flickering lights after storms, persistent buzzing, or any burning odors, call a local electrician. Lebanon’s older homes and humid climate can increase electrical risks, so avoid DIY on wiring or panels and prioritize safety.

Helpful?

In Lebanon, simple electrical tasks like installing a new outlet or light fixture usually take a few hours. Upgrading a panel or adding outdoor lighting often requires one to two days, especially if weather or permit approval is involved. Full home rewiring can take up to a week. Seasonal storms and Wilson County permit timelines may cause delays, so plan for some flexibility with your project.

Helpful?

For Lebanon’s changing seasons, inspect outdoor outlets and GFCIs each spring to address winter moisture. In summer, check attic wiring for heat damage and monitor your electrical panel for signs of corrosion. Fall is ideal for testing backup generators and surge protectors, while winter calls for inspecting heating system wiring and smoke detectors. Lebanon’s frequent storms make surge protection and moisture checks especially important.
