"I paid for an inspection (required upfront) in December. They didn't come out for an inspection for more than 3 weeks. The guys that came out were really nice and took a lot of pictures and told me about a few issues. Unfortunately, I have not received an inspection report or estimate with those photos and it's been almost 2 months since the inspection. I called them a couple times and was always told someone would call me back..I'm still waiting. I tried one last time today, after waiting a couple weeks, and no one answered. I wasted $250 and have nothing to show for it. I feel like I was scammed."

The only thing was he did have a painter who was working for him who charged $500 to paint our kitchen island and they said it could not be matched. We had another painter guy who went to a different paint company and he was able to match it exactly and only charged us $200. Other than that, they were very good and we would use them again."

There are several benefits to wet-sanding drywall, but the main perk is that it produces far less dust than dry-sanding. As a result, wet-sanding poses fewer health risks and makes less of a mess in your home. If you plan on heating your garage, you must install a vapor barrier when drywalling the garage. A vapor barrier protects your garage from frost and mold that can occur through condensation. If your garage is unheated, you don't need to install a vapor barrier. The only exception is if you regularly crank the heat in your car before getting in it. In this case, you may still want to install a vapor barrier, as your car can heat your garage.

The average cost to apply a skip-trowel drywall texture to walls is $1.25 to $2.00 per square foot. Ceilings cost slightly more because of the increased difficulty of working overhead. Additional cost factors include any drywall repairs and removal of existing textures or wallpaper.

You can prevent air leaks and sagging by gluing a drywall ceiling. However, not every drywall job is a good fit for Sheetrock adhesive, and many pros say ceilings are one of those cases. When you place them properly, drywall screws make ceiling Sheetrock part of your home’s structural support system. 

Adding glue won’t increase the strength of the drywall, and it can make it much harder for you to remove and replace damaged drywall. Adhesive can bridge gaps, though, and it can keep temperature-controlled air from escaping or entering through the ceilings, making rooms more energy efficient.

You may not need to use a drywall anchor, depending on what you're hanging and where you're hanging it. If you can nail or screw into a wooden stud, the wood will provide enough support and stability in many cases. If you're hanging something very lightweight, you can use picture hanging strips to hold it in place.
