"D&J are fabulous to work with, and I cannot recommend them enough! They repaired our rotting deck, helping to replace joists, a few rotting posts, switching the deck to composite, adding a new railing, building a custom bar, sanded and restained part of our deck, and replacing the kickplates under the doors to match the new composite. I had tried the traditional way of finding a repair company by doing an Internet search. One company came out but never gave us a quote. I called over a month later and they said they were working on it, but they never responded after that. Another company sent a salesman out to look at the job. He took measurements and said he would get me a quote soon, but it was several weeks later and very expensive (likely more to cover his salary). Frustrated, I went to Angiâ s list (HomeAdvisor) and found D&J. I emailed them late on a Saturday night, and Jason called me the next day. He and Dustin came out that week to look at the job, he got me a quote in just a few days, and their pricing was very reasonable. What I appreciate about D&J is that not only are they reasonably priced, they are the two that you deal with in the whole process. I have found that when there are sales people and installers that often things are not communicated well or mistakes are made (like a salesperson telling you it can be done but the installer saying it canâ t). D&J does it all, so you know exactly what you need, what it will cost, and who will do the work. Plus, theyâ re just great, honest guys. My retired neighbors watched them every day, and they would tell me how hard they worked from about 8:00 to 4:00 every day. They were so impressed that theyâ ve told their family about them. Weâ ve told our family and friends, too, and we plan to use them for some other work at a different house we own. If you want honest guys who are going to give you honest pricing and do an honest dayâ s work, you can do no better than Jason and Dustin. We are so glad we found them, as now we know who our first call will be to whenever we need work down around our house."

"Let me apologize now because this will be a lengthy review. We purchased a cabin in Cosby, TN (we live in Ohio) that was a total gut that had been started by the previous owner. We located Frank (JR - J and LRenovations) through Home Advisor. We were skeptical about hiring anyone we were not able to be around to oversee because we live out of the state. We met up with Frank (JR)and his lovely wife Lucille initially to discuss a leak in the roof. He brought his work truck and fixed the leak in the roof and refused to let us pay him. We knew then we had the right person for the job. We discussed our vision and everything we wanted and left things in his capable hands. I cannot begin to tell you the scope of work that was needed for this renovation. He completed everything we asked for from, tongue and groove walls and ceiling, electrical, laying tile and LVP flooring, plumbing, door, and cabinet installation, spraying the walls with poly, building steps, tearing out old fireplaces, spreading gravel and so much more! There are too many things to list! He even made it a point to be there when we had furniture delivered and counters installed so we did not have to make the trip down! Now that is someone who goes above and beyond to take care of their customers. He worked seven days a week and even on holidays (no we did not ask him to do this). His work ethic and craftsmanship are exceptional! This was a huge job for one person. We could not be happier with the end product. He went above and beyond our expectations, is a man of his word and truly cares about your property, his quality of work, and his customers. I cannot say enough great things about him and I encourage you to reach out to him for all of your home improvement needs. "Pro: The roofing looks alright from street level. Nicer that the previous old style 3 tab shingle. The subcontractors came a day ahead of schedule. Con: After about a month they have yet to clean up. Promise at beginning was to clean up all trash and nails with magnet. My daughters had to clean up shingles from the neighbor s yard. Still have nails in the back yard and shingle in front."
