"Horrible do not hire unless you want horrible craftsmanship, left with structural engineering issues, electrical issues, no show, lack of response and no response. Project is not complete and he will not show up, call or email. Continual price gouging. If you hire him, you will be wasting lots of time and money and will end up having to hire professionals to fix their screw ups. They undersized a structural beam by half, causes floor sagging upstairs and sagging roof."

"It is my pleasure to write a review of our dock builder, Smoky Mountain Deck Builders. The more broad description of their work is attention to detail, great work ethics and desire to please their customer. Nick DiRoberto, the owner, listened patiently to our desires and goals and then offered some inventive, cost saving and aesthetically appealing ideas. He even came by several times to observe the project and tweaked a few things to improve the ultimate product. He is very artistic and creative and a pleasure to work with. The first crew sent to build the infrastructure and decking started early and stayed busy all day, every day! Crew chief Flip led by example. He, Marty, Jeffrey, Brandon and Ryan were meticulous in details. Absolutely no corners were cut or jobs rushed. Flip came up with a great way to have a ramp without steps. We loved this. Ryan, Marty and Jeffrey built a really nice storage unit with a custom made door frame that matches any factory frame. Some of the decking boards were cut and shaped several times over until they were satisfied with the results! No nails, only bolts and screws! Precision ruled the day. Fran, Nick’s father, who brings years of experience in dock and deck building, framing etc., joined with them to do the joists and roofing. Again, precision and attention to details were quite noteworthy. The poles were notched to set the joists on adding tremendous strength. Fran and others added high wind connectors to every cross beam, a practice usually done in Florida and other locations more prone to hurricanes and strong storms. All of these workers had a hand in attaching the rub-rails. They even mitered the corners and used special screws designed to prevent cuts to clothing, feet or skin. On the swim platform where the black rub-rail would prove too hot they rounded the decking edge. Mid way through the project we decided to use some carriage lights on each pole. Fran, Jeffrey and Ryan drilled angled long holes in the poles so the wiring would exit close to the ceiling. Very time consuming at no extra cost. Fran made special plates to mount the carriage lights onto , which was very aesthetically pleasing. The 4x4s and 6x6s were rolled to make them fit flush against the poles. Again, attention to detail. The wiring was done to minimize being seen overall. Fran and Brad installed the boat lifts with extreme accuracy. The leveling of the cross beams was nothing short of perfection. Finally, Fran and Patrick added some LED rope lights all around the bottom edge, suggested by Nick to accent the dock. They look great! Fran and Patrick ran the power down to the dock and met all of the inspector’s demands concerning breakers, wiring underground, GFI plugs etc. I need to also mention Gina, the office manager, who came by frequently, ordered any additions in a timely manner and stayed in constant contact with us. She possesses very good people skills. Great job Smoky Mountain Deck Builders! You will always have our gratitude and highest recommendations and endorsements. It was a pleasure to see such pride and attention to detail by all involved. If we plan any other additions to our house or property we will come to you first."

There are different types of pet fencing available to keep your furry family member safe:
Chain link fencing is an affordable but not visually appealing option.
Vinyl panel fencing is less easily damaged than wood.
Wood fencing is customizable but requires regular maintenance.
Metal iron fencing provides a sleek look but doesn’t block your pet’s view.
Electric fencing eliminates the need for a traditional fence, but it could be painful to your pet.
Picket fencing adds to your curb appeal but won’t contain most pets.
Brick or stone fencing stops pets from digging out of the yard but costs more.
Certain types of pet fences, like wireless invisible and GPS fences, have easy installation steps, making them a perfect DIY option. A wired invisible fence is generally beyond the skill set of most homeowners, as it requires digging a trench to lay the wires needed, plus wiring them to the transmitter.
In addition, traditional fences require not only time to install but also transportation of materials, the correct tools to do the job, and usually, additional labor. Sometimes, a permit is needed to build a fence, depending on your location. For these reasons, it’s best to hire a local dog fence installer to complete this task.
The cost to install an invisible fence is $1,325 on average. This cost ranges from $100 to $1,650, depending on the yard size and type of invisible fencing.
An in-ground invisible fence has a transmitter, receiver, and wires that run underground to set up the yard's perimeter, averaging $1,325 for installation. GPS invisible fences use satellite data to create the home boundary and are more cost-effective than wired options, ranging from $100 to $800. Wireless invisible fences create a barrier that relies on radio signals, costing between $100 and $500, depending on the brand and range.
Determining the best type of fence to contain your pet can be tricky. Consult a pet fence installer and consider the following questions:
What size pet do you have? Some fence types, like chain link, are too short to contain large dogs.
Is digging an issue? Some fences, like brick or stone, help minimize digging at the fence line, where wood fences aren’t as adequate.
Do you need to block your pet’s view of the neighbor's yard? Some fences, like metal iron fencing and chain link, don’t offer an obstructed view.
The cost to install a pet fence ranges from $1,500 to $8,000 on average. This cost is primarily dependent on the type of fence material and the width and height of the fence and your geographical location.
A wood privacy fence that is 150 linear feet can range from $1,000 to $4,500. However, the same length of fence in aluminum will cost closer to $4,500 to $6,000. In addition, some states are simply more expensive than others to build a fence due to increased demand and cost of living.
