"Gas fireplace wouldn’t light and needed troubleshooting. Jeff (Beachly-he is the owner of the company), was great! Responded quickly to my call and was on time. "Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

Grill Repair questions, answered by experts

While DIY patching is possible, professional services guarantee reliability in workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Maintaining repaired areas involves regular cleaning, ensuring protective coatings are intact, and inspecting for signs of rust or wear that need to be addressed.

Installing a metal roof will rarely affect your homeowner’s insurance policy in a negative way, and you might even get a discount on your premium for installing one, depending on your area. Metal roofs can reduce the risk of structural damage from heavy snow, and they stand up better to strong winds and impact, so homeowners in areas that see excessive snowfall or extreme weather may see savings on insurance premiums after installing a metal roof.

While it’s less common than on other kinds of roofs, yes, ice dams can form on metal roofs. Metal roofs, particularly those with snow guards installed, can still accumulate ice at the roof edge, although ice dams on metal roofs are less likely to cause roof or interior damage than on traditional asphalt shingle roofs.

The placement of snow guards depends on the individual roof, but typically snow guards are placed between 12 and 18 inches from the eaves, though they can be placed as close as six inches and as far as 24 inches from the eaves. A roofing professional can assess the roof and potential snow loads to determine the best placement.
