"Mr. Rooter called me right away - literally moments after I posted my project on Angi. The technician came out about an hour and a half later and had fixed two toilets - one had gotten clogged and the other wasn't flushing right - in about 15-20 minutes. The tech also made a small repair at no extra charge to make sure one of my supply lines to the back of the toilet didn't leak. I didn't do exact price comparisons with other companies but the morning of house call + the auger for the clogged toilet + the small build repair to the second toilet came out to about $450. There may be folks who could have done it cheaper but we have company coming over this weekend and I wasn't about to not have either of my toilets in good working order. A thorough and professional job done at lightning speed was worth the rate."

Small jobs welcome

"Extremely pleased with the service. My massive shared septic tank was clogged with grease and over-flowing into the yard so It needed pumping. It was done in a timely manner and in rough weather conditions at a very affordable cost. Also great communication from Sherrill. Highly recommended!"

"Excellent service! Showed up when expected, very professional, courteous, (Funny :) ), knowledgable, did an excellent job on a tank not serviced since installed (23 yrs). The cover did break due to age, but they came back and replaced it without any issues. Reasonably priced, and will definitely recommend this company to anyone needing Septic services."

"Anthony has done work for me for 9 years now, he's there when he says, the quality is great, and he doesn't cut corners. He pays attention to detail, and he's very hard working and honest. He can do just about anything I have asked for, he has build a 40 x 60 building, a septic tank, dug a basement for me, installed a pond, and many other projects. I highly recommend him to others."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Yes, shower water goes into the septic tank. Shower water is a type of greywater, and in fact, all water used in a home with a septic system—including water from sinks, toilets, the dishwasher, and the washing machine—drains into the tank. When shower water enters the tank, debris like soap and hair travels with it. The solid debris sinks to the bottom to become sludge, while soap residue joins the scum layer at the top. The remaining water is treated in the tank before moving to the drain field for further treatment and dispersal. It is important to avoid putting oil or harsh chemicals down any drain, as they can cause clogs or disrupt the beneficial bacteria required for proper wastewater management in the septic system.

Costs depend on tank accessibility, size, and local rates. Regular service serves as preventive care, averting costly emergency repairs or system replacements.

You can add three rotten tomatoes or 1/4 ounce of yeast to your septic tank to speed up the decomposition of sludge. You can add the tomatoes by way of your garbage disposal and the yeast by way of your toilet. You can do either of these additives once every three months as needed.

A septic smell may be harmful because sewer gas is dangerous depending on the exposure amount and length of time. Sewer gas is made up of multiple gases, including hydrogen sulfide, methane, ammonia, and carbon dioxide. Some of these gases, like hydrogen sulfide and ammonia, are toxic to humans and can be fatal in high concentrations or long exposures.

The average three to four-bedroom home typically uses a well pump rated for 8 to 12 gallons per minute (GPM). To find the most accurate size for your specific needs, a common rule of thumb is to count the number of water fixtures and appliances in your home and aim for that number in GPM. This calculation allows for about one gallon of water per minute per fixture. Because estimating the correct size can be challenging, it's best to have a professional technician make the final determination. A professional can ensure your pump provides sufficient water for your home, especially during peak usage hours.
