"I worked with Slade and he was very professional. He emptied our fountain, cleaned it out and filled it back up. He also replaced the broken pump. He did a great job and our fountain is working again! Thank you!"

"

Last Fall, we called Castlerock Pools, Inc. for a new liner for our swimming pool.  They arrived on time, did a great job installing the liner, added a new gas heater and closed the pool for us for the winter.  This Spring, I called Bill Belser again and asked him to open our pool to be sure everything was in working order.

Everything is in working order and we love  our "new" pool.  If you need repairs or a new pool, I would highly recommend Bill and Castlerock Pools. The price is right and the work is outstanding.

"The Moore brothers were great. They satisfied my Home Owners' Association with a detailed proposal within an hour of inspecting the job. They itemized and described the work, which included cleaning off the mold, replacing insulation, repairing joists, encapsulating the crawlspace, and creating a French Drain on the exterior of my unit to redirect the rain. They also set up my dehumidifier in the space with a wireless meter I can read from inside . Their price was in line and they did everything they promised in good order, good humor, and respect. Three other companies bid and were not even close... in promptness, plan, OR price. I highly recommend Jon and Danny Moore."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

A koi pond may add value to your home if it’s a feature sellers are looking for. Like pools, ponds can affect your property value depending on their condition, whether they’re a popular selling point, and how well they’re incorporated into your home’s landscape.

Most outdoor water fountains and features do not use a lot of electricity, typically consuming between 100 and 250 watts per day. The size of the fountain's motor can impact its overall electricity usage. To reduce energy consumption, you can use a timer to automatically turn the fountain off at night or when you are away from home. Additionally, installing solar power components can help lower electricity costs after the initial investment is recouped.

While they’re popular and have a lot of pros, the cons of river rocks include the following:

  • River rocks don’t break down or provide nutrients to plants.

  • These stones can get hot and scorch nearby plants.

  • River stones may heat the surrounding soil to inhospitable temperatures.

  • Rocks can block rainwater from seeping into the ground if installations are too thick or tightly packed.

Most downsides occur when using river rock as mulch in gardens and flower beds. However, you can still incorporate river rocks into your landscape as long as you use them in the correct ways.

Seeps and springs form when groundwater reaches the earth’s surface. The main differences between them are the amount of water and the flow rate. Seeps are smaller than springs and consist of water that’s stagnant or flows slowly. Springs contain more water and flow more quickly.

Deep clean your koi pond at least once a year to keep your fish healthy and your pond in good shape. Water testing, debris removal, and partial water changes should be performed weekly. Seasonal professional service will ensure everything is clean and functioning properly.
