"Absolutely amazing guy. Toilets overflowing and backing into the showers. On a Saturday. Full panic. Called him and he was here super fast and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. His card is now on my fridge and in my phone to recommend him to any and everyone I know."

"Nathen came to my home the same day I looked into Angi. He cleaned my gutters that day and came back with supplies/tools to repair my shingles on the roof. Quickly, quietly, everything was done and cleaned up. A wonderfully respectful young man. Great pricing. Highly recommend."

"I wanted to turn a ground floor pantry into a bathroom. I had asked other plumbers and everytime we hit a literal brick wall (or a concrete floor). I was always told that it would be so hard and costly to put a pump into the floor. David Acosta was the first plumber who didn?t make it seem impossible and was able to do it all and was very affordable. David makes anything possible. I now have a beautiful bathroom and it adds so much value to my home. His team is professional and courteous. The transformation was done in a very reasonable time frame. I am SO PLEASED!"

"Out of 5 quotes requested he was the only one that messaged me back. Helped me get my toilet unclogged thanks to my nephew flushing something down it. He came same day and worked me in! Very nice and got the job done. Will definitely use him again in the future if needed. Thank you so much!"

"This was our first Aqua Clear System ! The installation was done by Brian Christian & Dustin !! Both men were very professional and explained everything they were doing thoroughly ! (sometimes a couple of times) They was always asking if we had any questions !! Dustin asked me were I wanted the faucet -on the sink- to make sure I was pleased with the placement . Brian did a Great job placing & taking care to fit everything in a compact area -so I have still room in my panty closet . Our friends Bill & Toni Ertel ( also on Chilly Spring Road) recommended this company to us . We will also be recommending your very professional company to our friends. Thank you . Hats off also to Brian & Dustin"

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.

A running toilet is not a plumbing emergency, but you will want to try some DIY fixes or call in a plumber to prevent wasting gallons of water. The three most common causes of a running toilet are a broken or dirty flapper, an incorrectly sized chain between the flush lever and flapper, or a float that is out of position.

Start by gutting the old fixtures and features that need to be removed, such as the tile, vanity, and flooring. You may benefit by removing the toilet, even if you intend to use the same one. Next, install the new shower or tub, followed by the flooring, and then the drywall, which you should then paint. After that, install your new cabinets, vanity, countertop, sink, and faucet, in that order. Replace your light fixture next. Lastly, reconnect the toilet.

Replacing a toilet costs between $275 and $480 in most cases, and the average cost sits around $375. This includes removing the old toilet and installing the new toilet. Your price could be significantly higher if you invest in a high-quality brand, need the replacement done on an emergency basis, or replace your toilet as a part of a larger bathroom remodel that demands additional work.

No, you can’t convert a gravity-flush toilet to a pressure-assist toilet. Pressure-assist toilets include a tank-within-the-tank, and a standard gravity-flush toilet doesn’t have a capability to include the additional tank. If you want the benefits of a pressure-assist toilet, you’ll have to make the investment in a new one.
