"The project was lightning rod installation. The work was custom fitted, very responsive to the owner's requests . The contractor was very helpful with suggestions and implementation of best practices. The contractor was brave & effective at considerable elevation (45-50 feet) above ground level. The end result was aesthetically attractive and the contractor was super amiable; his crew appeared to be dedicated."

"The best and most pleasant experience I have ever had with any contractor in 37 years. Mel Madaris and his crew were always reliable, punctual, and considerate. Once they started our project they stayed on it until completion. Their work was expertly done and they took pains to protect the surrounding furniture, carpeting, floors and walls. They always cleaned up after themselves. We were absolutely comfortable leaving them working alone in our home when we were away. Moreover, the ease of communication with Mel and his men could not have been better. We were kept informed during all stages of the project. I will certainly re-hire them for any work needed in the future. Overall, Improve America is a thoroughly professional contractor and I recommend them highly."

"

Handle on kitchen faucet broke Sunday evening.  Husband looked at it and said " not fixable". Went to Lowe's and bought a new one.. I called Scenic City Plumbing at 8:15 Monday morning.  The very pleasant woman who answered and took my information said they could get someone out that same day and that they would call me before their arrival.  She said it should be between 10 AM to noon.

At about 9:30 she called to say someone should be at my house in 30-40 minutes.  Greg from Scenic City arrived at 10:15.  I had already cleared out things under sink and on counter.  He went to work quickly, asked me which side I wanted the soap dispenser on ( I never use it, but that's another story) and had no problem switching the site from left of faucet to right of faucet..  He made sure the counter under where the old handle had been was cleaned before he installed the faucet and soap dispenser

He finished at 11:15 AM, the bill was $123.75, but I had the $20 off coupon from Angie's List , so my cost was $103.75.  He left me "tool" that was in new faucet package for removing the aerator and took away  the old broken faucet and the box and wrappings from the new faucet (he asked me first if I wanted to keep the "installation sheet" from the package, which I did)

All in all, an excellent job at a reasonable price.  Will use again next time I need a plumber..

"Jim was very professional, he looked over the whole job and made recommendations after he tried to fix the original issue and the next day had the same problem. Our issue was more do to initial build being substandard nd he fixed the issue with a reasonable cost. No further issues with our system. I will hire him again without question."

"Very nice and knowledgable. Very fair pricing and a very honest serviceman. Nate didn't hesitate to tell me when certain things I asked about were outside of his work scope and would be better handled by another company. I would def. recommend him and will use him again for any of my HVAC repair and service needs."

"Everyone from the start of working with this company was great. We had solar panels installed back in 2022 and the company then they went under federal control. I had called multiple companies, no one was willing to help except your home solar. We needed a permit to get the solar up and running which also meant the state inspection. Anita, Landon and all of the other employees that we encountered in this process made it a very easy process. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for solar or that needs to get panels they have up and running."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Dekton is worth the money for homeowners who want a nonporous countertop that resists heat, stains, water, scratches, and UV damage. It comes in a wide array of colors and patterns at various price points to suit different renovation budgets. Dekton is not worth the cost for homeowners who are particularly worried about chipping or cracking.

The most common scale for residential blueprints is 1/4 of an inch equals one foot. This scale is the most popular because it’s easier for everyone involved, from professionals to homeowners, to understand the building’s actual dimensions. Also, it allows blueprints to have the necessary details without cluttering the page.

It can take anywhere from a few days to several months to draw up architectural plans, depending on the complexity of your project. Architectural plans are highly detailed documents that take time to complete, and any changes or alterations can significantly extend how long they take.

A pool builder can advise you on the best design for your property and vision, and can walk you through the process from design to a swim-ready pool. Knowing which questions to ask a pool builder can help ensure you choose the right person for the job.

It is technically possible to draw your own blueprints, but the process is extremely involved and really demands help from an expert. A professional architect has an understanding of design elements, interior design, the functionality of different rooms in a home, and how everything from furniture, outlets, and light switches should be laid out to serve you and your family best. Hiring an architect for blueprints can get expensive, but it’s the most responsible way to begin a new construction project. If you’re keen on DIYing, you could consider starting the process and then having a professional take over.
