Small cracks should be filled with a flexible crack filler, like a rubberized asphalt-emulsion crack filler or a flexible masonry crack filler. Like all concrete, pervious concrete is susceptible to cracking due to expansion and contraction from freezing and thawing or heavy weight. Pervious concrete, however, is less likely to crack due to moisture intrusion than traditional concrete since pervious concrete is designed to drain and hold water in the material’s voids.

Clean with a damp mop and reseal every few years to protect the surface and enhance appearance.

Cost and age are two factors to consider when determining if you should repair or replace your concrete driveway. If your existing driveway is on the older side and the cost of repairs is 50% or more of its value, it might be worth replacing it. Replacing a concrete driveway when it's 20 years old and deteriorating in condition will save you from the cost of repairs that likely wouldn’t save it from replacement in a few years anyway.
