"Where do I start? Juan & his crew did an absolutely incredible job with our new floors. It was a stone laminate that he laid. He was always on time & he truly is the hardest worker I know. I’ve already referred him to 2 other friends, who hired him as well. 100% would recommend him to anyone!!"

Small jobs welcome

"Lary is a professional by every definition. He takes pride in his work and cares about the finished product. We bought an older home and Lary painted the entire interior. He made certain the walls were done correctly which meant taking extra time when there were issues. He is dependable, prompt, trustworthy and a fine Christian man. We will use him for all our future painting needs. The best!"

"When a weak place in my floor began to get worse I reached out to Angie's list to find a carpenter. I got a call from Andy almost immediately. Let me say he was truly a God send. Upon inspection he discovered I had multiple damaged joists. They were set to start the work less than 2 weeks later. Upon opening my floor, he discovered I had a much worse problem with the support to my house. Andy reassured me that he and his crew would do everything they could to save my house and get the work done in a timely fashion. Within 2 days I was back in my home!!! What was a bad situation was made bearable with Andy's kindness, compassion, honesty, and communication. I love my new floors!! They brighten up my house so much. I would not hesitate to recommend him. As a matter of fact, a week later I hired him for another job. He does a great job and stands behind his work. You won't go wrong with his company."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

To prevent your dining room carpet from slipping, consider using rug pads or grippers underneath to provide traction and stability. Additionally, ensure the carpet is properly sized and secured to the floor to minimize movement. Regularly check and readjust the rug to maintain its position and safety under your dining room table.

Houses naturally settle over time, but they should settle uniformly with no apparent settling in one spot. If your floor is uneven but only in a particular area of your home, differential settlement could be the problem. This can be caused by improper drainage, erosion, expanding soil, earthquake activity, or poor construction techniques.

Impervious or vitreous tile and vinyl flooring work best for the kitchen. These surfaces are non-porous (or have a very low porosity) that can stand up against spills, splashes, and plumbing leaks. Some natural stones are also a good fit, but keep porosity in mind. You may need to seal them to avoid stains and water damage to the subfloor.

Vinyl and linoleum are the most affordable flooring for a mobile home. The material costs $3 to $7 per square foot—or half as much as hardwood and slightly less than laminate.

Overall, vinyl isn’t as durable as linoleum, but it performs best in areas with high levels of moisture. Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) or luxury flooring tile (LVT) has added durability with just a slightly higher price tag.

Transition strips are often called seam binders as they bridge the gap between two floor types. They are common between carpeting and hardwood or wood and tile. Transition strips prevent trips and falls and make the transition from each room appear seamless. They are also often used to even out height differences between floors.
