"I hired Rocky Flooring because my carpets literally had some rough edges (due to foot traffic, wheelchair traffic, and three active dogs) at all of the transitions to hard flooring. They did excellent work! The two men showed up on time and got right to work. They were able to stretch the existing carpet and then reattach it to the original transition strips. It takes about one to two days to remove carpet and install laminate flooring for small and medium-sized rooms. A larger room may take an extra day to complete. If you’re replacing flooring throughout your house, expect closer to one to two weeks, depending on your home’s square footage.

Squeaking floors don’t usually pose an immediate safety risk. It can be the result of normal settlement, changes in humidity, or natural wear. Uneven or warped floors do pose a trip risk, so you should call a pro for a repair. This is especially true if you notice visible signs of rot or deterioration. Rarely, a creaking floor can signal structural issues, but there are usually other signs.
