"Everything turned out fine. When it first arrived, it was damaged in the shipping. It took them quite a while to get something back to us, or even to call me back when I wrote to them. But then, once they got the ball rolling, it went very quickly. It took them probably about a month to even get back to me. The price was very good. Once somebody actually did speak with me, they were very responsive. They were pretty professional when I spoke to them. I just think that they were light on manpower."

"     In order to complete to layout design I submitted a drawing of the room as well as a series of photos.  The website for Homemade design has a questionaire what helps define your overall tastes in design.  I joined Pinterest and started boards for furniture, lighting, bookshelves which were reviewed.  Homemade design comes to New York periodically to meet with clients not in the Boston area and this gave us a chance to meet and select furniture and upholstery at the New York Design center.  This is an extra charge but well worth it since I was completely overwhelmed.  They were extremely patient and guided me through the process.  At one point I decided to move the television which turned out to be a bad idea -- they explained why it would not worked and I concurred competely after I understood the reasons.  So, they are not afraid to tell you if you going down the wrong road. I live in a New York City townhouse and forget that I do not have a whol lot of space even though my house is huge for NYC. So, I had to be told how to "scale" everything to the space we had to work with, which was helpful
I purchased the service several months ago but was not ready to actually decide on the actual purchases until recently. So, the delay in completion is because of my schedule.  I now hope to finish everything by September.

"Tanya and Dave were highly recommended to us by a neighbor after purchasing our home in NE Columbia.  They came out the same day we called and we knew within just a few minutes Tanya and Dave knew their business and would do a great job for us.
With all the storm damage in the area they have been extremely busy with that, but we knew they would soon call and as of yesterday, July 25th, we are enjoying a beautiful Live Oak that had gone wild with over growth to the point our house was hidden in the low hanging limbs.  The Loquat in the front had been partially resting on the roof and now had its own space away from our house.   
We were unable to be here when they began working on the Live Oak and Loquats and by the time we got here they had finished. All debris and I mean all, was gone.  We came around a slight corner on our street and could actually see our house instead of a shaggy tree.  They did an awesome job!  We love being able to see our home, we love the Live Oak which now is so beautiful!! and of course having the Loquat off the roof looks great too!
None of our sprinklers were damaged. Our yard was perfectly clean and everything was carefully placed back around the shrubbery.    
We are looking forward to working with Tanya in the near future on new landscaping for our yard!!  There is quite a bit of landscaping surrounding our property, but what {we're sure} was beautiful in the 80s and 90s when planned and installed, is now much too tall and some diseased as pointed out to us by Tanya and Dave.
It's difficult to find people these days with the qualities of this team.  Knowledge, integrity, honest and not out to break your bank, and to top it off, they are simply great people!  So glad our neighbor knew them!  Thanks so much Live Oak Landscaping!!

"I sent the money and dimensions in in November 2011.  She responded back very quickly, informed me that she was very busy and wouldn't be able to start on my project for a couple of weeks.  I actually responded that that was fine.  After a month or so with no contact, i emailed.  She emailed  right back, apologized and asked for some more measurements.  I sent them.  Didn't hear anything, when in response to inquiry, she asked again for living room measurements-- that was Feb. 3rd.  On Feb. 20th, I emailed and asked for timeline.  She responded back the next day with 3 designs asking for my preference.  I emailed back on the 22nd of Feb with my preference.  On March 16th, I inquired again as to timeline for completion.Two weeks later she sent a concept board with some furnishings.  No window coverings or lights were suggested.  Three were multiple rugs with no direction of which one for each room.  All and all, not a pleasant experience.  I suspect I could have gotten better service using Pottery Barn's free design service (especially since most of the furnishings came from there.)"
