"If you need a fence installed it is not necessary to stress out. Just give Legacy a call, and you will not regret it. I rarely give reviews unless a place is so bad you do not want anybody else to go thru what you did, or is so good that you are confident everybody else will like it. I am very confident anybody who hires Legacy will be very happy, as 98% of the previous reviews will attest to. From the office staff( Tammy, Jessica to name 2) to Phil and his installers everybody is as nice as can be, and extremely professional. Saw them install a fence across the street from me and saw the professionalism right away. I am a tradesman myself, so I know professionals when I see them. I called for an estimate and they had someone out to measure my yard right away. Got a better price than anywhere else by hundreds. They called the utility co. to mark the utility lines. Showed up when they said they would and put in a whole productive day for the 2 days it took them to do both my fence, and my neighbors fence as well, as he was impressed with them as well, so we done ours together. Now I'm not saying you should not do your due diligence and get a few quotes and research reviews and what not, but am confident you will end up feeling more than comfortable with Legacy, and not regret your decision to go with them. God bless them"

"It went fantastic. My wife had gone to the hospital for a total left hip replacement. After the operation the surgeon told me there had been some complications and told me I would need hand rails in my garage from the garage floor up 4 steps to the kitchen hallway for her to get in the house after his release of her from the hospital. I did not have hand rails on those steps or the front porch steps either. He told me they would be required because of the serious nature of her conditon. This was her second operation in three and 1/2 weeks. I googled fence contractors in lexington, sc with and 5 fence companies came up. Hendrix Fence company was the first one with a phone number. This was on a Wed and I needed the rails up in 48 hours. I knew it was a very short time frame and went ahead and called Hendrix Fence Co. A very compashinate lady named Jennie Hendrix answered the phone and I told her of my plight and asked if her company could please do me this favor on the short notice. She said she would have her son call me shortly. Her son did call me within 20 minutes from the time I talked to his mother Jennie, said he was close by and would come by within the hour. He did come by and said he could do the job on Friday morning two days later. He had to fabricate and weld some pieces in his shop on Thursday and would be at my house to install the railings Friday at 9:30 am with his brother. They showed up on time Friday and did the install which was stellar in about 2 hours. It was cold and rainy those two days but they did not complain, had excellent attitudes and gave me exactly what I needed for my wife to come to come home that same day by ambulance. After my initial contact Mrs. Jennie Hendrix, Her husband Mr. David Hendrix , Sr. called me to make sure his son had contacted me and said the job would be done right and on time in 48 hours. I have dealt with all kind of contractors all my life but have never, ever dealt with a company like Hendrix Fence Co. in Gaston, SC that serves the Lexington, SC area. I had talked with 5 other companies about my immediate needs for my wife and the all said they could not even come look at the job until January 2, 2019. Waiting till then was "not an option" and Jennie Hendrix said she understood my short term needs and would help me immediately. Hendrix Fence Co., the owners Jennie and David Hendrix and their two sons who did the installation within 48 hours of call for help were the greatest, and most caring people who understood my immediate needs and were willing to go the extra mile on 2 days notice to help me out. They are a family operation who have been in business 30 years and know how to treat a customer right. I cannot say how much their concern and follow-up have helped me and my wife. We are both 76 years old and it's great to know that there some people and companies that still care about their customers and reputation. I would rate them 10+ stars if I could. I recommend them highly to anyone who needs even a small job like mine or any kind of fencing or structures of any type put on there property. I cannot thank them enough. E. Fencing questions, answered by experts

The most durable metal for a fence is wrought iron. With proper care, a wrought iron fence can last for centuries. This means regular resealing to stave off rust and corrosion, especially in coastal climates with salty sea air. In these environments, chain link and corrugated fencing tend to stand up better to the elements with fewer maintenance needs.

Regular maintenance for wire fencing includes annual inspections for rust or damage, tension adjustments every two to three years, and immediate repair of any breaks or loose sections. You should also regularly check the fence posts for stability, particularly after severe weather, and make sure to remove any vegetation growing along the fence line.

Vinyl and chicken wire are two of the best and most affordable materials for a DIY garden fence. Vinyl is a great option because it is cost-effective, easy to work with, and effective at keeping pests out. A vinyl fence can cost as little as $15 per linear foot, especially if you install it yourself. Chicken wire is even more budget-friendly, costing as little as $2 per linear foot. While chicken wire is more affordable, vinyl is a better choice if privacy is a concern. You can also add chicken wire on top of a vinyl fence for extra security.

Ideally, when you replace a fence post, you should also replace the concrete footing. The concrete bonds to your new post, creating a secure base. If you install a new post into old concrete, it won’t be as sturdy.

That said, it is possible. Sometimes the post will lift right out of the concrete. If not, you can use a high-lift car jack to try and lift the pole out of the footing. Put the new post into the same hole and backfill it with fast-setting concrete. Keep in mind, this won’t work well for metal posts.

If you have the time and the budget, we strongly recommend staining your fence, especially if it's looking a bit tired or hasn't been treated recently. While you may not see the same return on investment (ROI) as you would with a project like a kitchen remodel, staining a fence is one of the best ways to add a facelift to your property—a new fence stain adds serious curb appeal to your home.
