"I hired Hernandez Landscaping & Tree Service to remove 5 of the largest pines trees I’ve ever seen from my yard. They also cut down a huge messy oak tree and a 2 large sweet gum trees. They finished the job in just two days (Friday & Saturday) and were very efficient. They returned a 3rd day just to make sure all of the debris was removed and the yard was safe for mowing. I will hire these 5 guys again! Their equipment did no damage to my yard or my septic tank. I want them to come grind the stumps next week! They will beat anyone’s quote to get your job done."

A tree can grow back from its stump, but full regrowth is unlikely (especially for more stubborn conifer trees). Instead, trees are more likely to send up a number of shoots from the dead stump, which will try to develop into primary stems over time. In other words, it will start to look increasingly bushy. Trees growing within 10 to 15 feet of your house pose serious risks, so it’s worth considering removing them. First, branches that hang over and touch your roof can promote roof damage and moss accumulation, which can lead to leaking. Second, they drop debris into your gutters, leading to clogs and overflow that can promote foundation leaks. Finally, the root systems can grow into your home’s foundation, sometimes putting enough pressure on them that the concrete wall cracks, leaving you with structural damage. As such, it’s often a good idea to remove trees growing close to your home.

While plants and trees can grow in tree stumps in nature, it is not recommended in your yard. This is due to soil composition, the possibility of pests and disease, a lack of space for rooting, and moisture availability for the new tree. Instead, hire a stump removal or grinding service to remove it and start fresh in the space.

Using Epsom salt to kill a tree stump will take between six and 12 months. While this method may seem extended, it significantly speeds up the natural stump decomposition process, which can take up to seven years. If you’d like to DIY remove a tree stump and it’s not causing any immediate harm or danger, using Epsom salt to kill it slowly is a viable removal option. 

It could be anywhere from weeks to years for a dead tree to fall. A dead tree falls based on its weight, how it leans, the state of its roots, the state of decay, and what local windstorms are like, among other factors. Since it’s hard to predict the fall’s timing, it’s important to cut down a dead tree quickly and avoid any unpleasant surprises.
