"We put the gutters on in 2005. He cleaned them 11 years later. Sections of the gutters had been black, and there was a black spot in the gutters on the front of the house. The black spot was very obvious when you came to the house. He cleaned the gutters front and back, and the gutters looked brand new! We feel like if anyone is trying to sell their house, having someone clean the roof, siding, and gutters is an excellent thing to do. It makes the house look brand new as well. Our siding looks wonderful too! Everything looks great."
"The pro who cleaned our roof and gutters did a fabulous job and even showed me pictures of the area that I couldn’t see. He was professional and very pleasant. I will definitely hire him again!"
"LeafFilter doesn't clean gutters, they sell and install their LeafFilter Gutter products and only clean the gutters if you buy their product. I can't even begin to afford their product so I wasn't able to get my gutter cleaned by them."
"Excellent - Did the work in a few hours and did a superb job in cleaning everything - including gutters that another company two years prior claimed couldn't get fully cleaned. I will definitely use them again."
"It went great they pressure washed our house and our vehicles and did an excellent job. Our house and vehicles look like new. Have had others to clean our house and no one did as great as they did. I highly recommend calling Sunset Pressure Washing you will be very pleased with how your home shines and your vehicles. Very polite and courteous. We will definitely use there services again. Thank you for a great job."
"I hired the company to install Guttter Guards in the original gutter system which they handled perfectly. Quick and clean installation, with a very fair price. I also had them repair the wall siding that was damaged from the original gutters overflowing. They matched the siding perfectly and painted to match. I can't thank them enough for their honesty, fair pricing, quick response and professional work. Highly recommended!"

Pressure washing isn’t the only way to clean your gutters. Use a hose and a long-handled brush if you aren’t afraid of a little elbow grease. Alternatively, set up a stable ladder and scrub by hand with a brush. It’s also possible to purchase gutter wand extensions for hoses or a gutter vacuum if you don’t mind the investment. These help clean thoroughly without you having to scale a ladder.
Installing a leaf protection system that keeps leaves and pine needles out of your gutter downspout is the best way to prevent clogs. Additionally, you may want to remove any trees or branches that are hanging over your downspouts to prevent leaves and branches from making their way into your gutter system. Of course, routine downspout cleaning and inspection can also help you stay ahead of clogs that create water damage at your home.
The best times of year to clean your gutters are typically in the spring and fall. Cleaning in the fall is crucial for removing leaves and debris that have accumulated, which helps prevent clogs. A spring cleaning ensures your gutters are clear and prepared for seasonal rainfall.
As a general guideline, experts recommend cleaning your gutters at least twice a year. However, the optimal frequency depends on several factors, such as local weather patterns, the type of gutters you have, and the number of trees on your property. If your home is surrounded by many large trees or pine trees, you may need to clean your gutters as often as every three to four months. If you have few or no trees nearby, twice a year is likely sufficient. In some cases, you may need to clean them a couple of times during the fall and spring to keep them clear and allow water to flow freely.
It is not recommended to clean gutters, or do any work on your roof for that matter, without the use of a ladder. Please make sure you have a spotter and avoid slippery surfaces when performing this task.

If you believe your gutters were installed incorrectly, it’s a good idea to know who to call for gutter leaks. Speak with a local gutter specialist to get to the bottom of your gutter system to stop water from flooding your property or yard ASAP.
