"I contacted Terratec in September 2024 due to water seeping into my basement through a crack in the cinderblock wall. During the inspection, I also pointed out cracks in the exterior stucco and other minor structural concerns. I made it clear that my goal was to prevent future damage and was open to more extensive repairs if needed. I was told it was a minor issue easily fixed with a French drain—no major foundation work required. What followed was over eight months of poor communication, broken promises, and unresolved issues. Getting a quote took six weeks, despite constant follow-up. I was repeatedly misinformed about what the job would include, including being told that exterior sealing was part of the scope—only to find out during the install it wasn’t. Even after I agreed to proceed, scheduling the work was chaotic, with appointments made without my knowledge and crews arriving late. The French drain was installed in February, but after the first heavy rain, the basement leaked again. I had to escalate again — speaking with the COO multiple times throughout this ordeal — and each time I was promised better communication and resolution. Each time, the follow-through was nonexistent. A follow-up revealed a large, visible exterior crack that was somehow missed. I was told a warranty repair with hydraulic cement would be done under warranty. The repair was delayed multiple times from no shows, only partially completed, and didn’t fix the issue. Water continues to enter my basement, and now the damage is worse than before. I contacted Terratec to come back out and the rep that showed up was 30 minutes late to the appointment, and left after the few minutes it took for me to answer the door. I contacted the main office and found out the rep lied and stated he waited for me for over ten minutes. To make matters worse, my calls and emails are now ignored. I'm still waiting on a response from management on how this is going to be fixed, but they have yet to respond to me. This has been an exhausting and frustrating process. I’ve been misled, ignored, and charged for incomplete work. I strongly regret choosing Terratec and would not recommend them to anyone looking for reliable or professional service."

Concrete Leveling questions, answered by experts

Professional services ensure precise concrete delivery, mixing quality, and timeline adherence and provide necessary tools for efficient use.

The number of concrete bags you'll need depends on the width and length of your fence post hole. A 50-pound bag makes about 0.375 cubic feet of concrete. So, if your hole is 30 inches deep and 12 inches wide, you'll probably need around five 50-pound bags for each post.

Asphalt driveways are less expensive to install, but concrete driveways will add more value to your home over time. Because concrete is more durable and has a longer lifespan than asphalt, it’s considered a more desirable driveway material. Both materials will add more value than a gravel driveway, but concrete wins out due to its strength and longevity.

Clean with a damp mop and reseal every few years to protect the surface and enhance appearance.

Yes, you can put carpet directly on concrete. However, you need to take certain precautions to ensure the success of the carpet installation. For example, you’ll need to choose a synthetic carpet pad to provide insulation and cushioning and a vapor barrier to prevent moisture from seeping into the carpet.
