Www.hodgeselectrical.com We believe that everyone should use small family owed businesses. Yes some times the larger companies can get it done a little cheaper, but are they gonna take the time to make sure everything is done exactly correct? Small companies take time to make sure you're happy and the job is done right.

"Good job. happy with how everything looks."

Sandlot Power is a small local Electrical contractor. We are fully licensed and insured to operate in the state of S.C. Being a smaller company allows us the advantage of providing the very best service with a friendly feel for far less than any other local electrical company. In my experience that's what really matters. Every company claims, "best service", "best technicians", "best customer service", etc. These attributes are all fine, and every company should strive for this level of service, but at the end of the day what does it matter if you're charging an arm and a leg? Sandlot Power's goal is to provide the very best services, just like every other company, but for a far better price. If you don't believe it then feel free to give me a call and find out for yourself!

"Miles Fisher did an awesome job. Will (and have) hire him again."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

No, a ceiling fan doesn’t have to be wired to a switch, but it’s often more convenient. You can use the included pull chain if your ceiling isn’t too high or install a remote module later, as they are a cheap, easy-to-install option that’ll let you control both the fan and light fixture.

It is relatively rare for a ceiling fan to fall. A properly installed ceiling fan is attached firmly to a ceiling joist. Even if the fan is wobbling, it’s unlikely to fall down. However, you should promptly repair your fan when you notice wobbling or imbalance just to be safe.

Since the cost of installing a ceiling fan is $250 for most homeowners, it might be beneficial to replace your existing fan if you are experiencing a significant repair issue, like a broken motor. However, for less expensive repairs, like a fan blade replacement, you’ll likely spend less on the repair than a complete fan replacement. Of course, if you’re looking for an upgrade or a new style fan, replacing it altogether is always an option.

Yes, you can install a ceiling fan where there is already a light fixture. The electrical wiring needed to install a ceiling fan is similar to that of a light fixture. Before you make the swap, consider whether you need an extension rod and whether your ceiling is on an angle. You will need a fan-rated electrical box to ensure that your ceiling is sturdy enough to handle a spinning fan.

Though possible, installing a ceiling fan yourself requires electrical knowledge and confidence working with home wiring. Following the manufacturer's instructions carefully and observing safety precautions are crucial components of a DIY installation.
