"Kailan showed up on time and prepared. I needed leaves and small limbs removed from my roof. He went above and beyond what was expected. He was also very personable and shared that he is a fireman which goes along way in my book. I will not hesitate to contact his company in the future!!"

"I very highly recommend this company for home renovations of various kinds. Lee really helped me out with my roof. It had severe mold issues and I thought it needed to be painted. But Lee told me it just needed to be cleaned and he could help me with it. He gave me a fair price and promised he could make my roof look good again. He was trustworthy to keep his word and stay in touch with me to do the job. He worked really, really hard to make sure I was satisfied with the final outcome and that my roof looked great. And thanks to him, it does! Take my word for it, you won't go wrong with Benchmark Renovations. I will definately be using their services in the future for any applicable home fix up needs!!"

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

There are two ways sandblasting could be dangerous: improper use of the equipment so that the stream touches your skin, and air particles created during the sandblasting process. While the first is easier to avoid and fairly obvious, the second has the potential to be more serious and is much more difficult to understand. This is why you should always hire a pro to sandblast, as they understand the dangers associated with the process. If proper safety measures are taken, then sandblasting is rarely dangerous.

Sand is a common sublayer for hardscape features like driveways, paver patios, and more. Most projects that involve sand require a 1-inch layer to promote evenness, drainage, and weight distribution. For further drainage, most projects have a 6-inch minimum layer of gravel beneath the sand.

Sandblasting is useful when you need to strip material off a hard surface. Common reasons to sandblast are to remove paint, rust, or get a surface ready for a new material. You aren’t limited to surfaces like walls either—you can sandblast rusted tools, bicycle frames, cement, bricks, and many others. If what you’re sandblasting is still structurally sound, sandblasting can be a fast and inexpensive way to revive the original material.

Sandblasting is a common method for removing paint. It works great if the underlying material is tough. This is because you can then use more abrasive sandblast materials, making the paint removal process much faster and less expensive. If you plan on removing many layers of paint on smooth surfaces, you’ll need to be more careful about which materials you choose to use to sandblast.

Your pro will most likely bill you at an hourly rate of $50 to $80 per hour to sandblast a door due to its small size. This type of job won't take long, so if you have other surfaces that need cleaning, schedule those tasks at the same time to get your money's worth from your pro's visit.
