"In spite of numerous negative reviews about Move Quick, Inc., I opted to hire this company for my move from West Virginia to Los Angeles. I spoke to Phillip, the manager/owner, who convinced me that the posted complaints had been resolved and were exaggerations. However, I, too, was subjected to an exaggerated low bid in order to snag my business. I, too, experience problems with the pick up and the delivery dates. The movers were a day late in arriving, then quoted me a 67% increase in price, from $3,100 to $5,200. BUT I was stuck. The company already had my deposit money. Also, I was charged for one flight of stairs and an exaggerated inaccurate measurement of my front door to the truck. I had been told there was no fee for one flight. I had provided exact measurements for the items in my two rooms of furniture. True, I had 51 boxes instead of 40 but that did not warrant such an increase in price, 67% almost $2,000. Delivery was also problematic. I had told Move Quick, Inc. that I would be at my new home 25 days after the pick up, October 30, 2019. That should have been more than enough time for any truck to drive cross country. They made me wait until December 4, 2020, a total of 25 days to drive 2,400 miles. I made the drive solo in 5 days. Communication with the company once they have your money is near to impossible. It took threats and 6 days for Philip to respond. He then provided an insignificant $75 discount. My recommendation: go with a larger company than can provide an accurate estimate and deliver within a reasonable time. Also, use a company that uses the industry standard of moving cost based on the weight of your items. Don’t let Phillip tell you his method of charging based on volume is better. No one else does this, for a reason. Other estimates I had received were in the $3,700 range.I should have Booked Elsewhere!”"

"It’s almost three years since the horrible experience with Mark 1. From massive additional charges to still missing boxes and broken items. Please -- Seriously consider another moving company. 2024 Review It has now been 2 years since we were involved in the worst moving company we have dealt with in over 8 major moves! Poor quality, broken items...... After we were quoted, we gave away, to charity, 5 major pieces of furniture, a large outdoor custom made grille, fire pit, ect..... When the charges came in the total price went up dramatically.... Even when the weight went down by 400+ pounds OUtrageous travel expenses when I offered to house the workers, at my expense, at a local hotel -- they would prefer to charge me travel costs -- a major profit area! They arrived just before noon and left at 3:30 due to travel back to Simpsonville. I could easily go on and on. NEVER even consider this company. 1"
