"This story is not a true representation of the facts. Mr. [Member Name Removed] had a scheduled date for the project to commence. He called the store phone number during the weekend prior to the Monday start time for the project. He called AFTER our normal - and listed - open business hours for a Saturday. He claims that he tried to call the contractor that was scheduled to work on the project. Unfortunately, the actual contractor did not receive the message(s) left by the homeowner. So, on Monday morning the contractor went to the job site as directed. Mr. [Member Name Removed] fails to mention that when he and I spoke on that Monday morning before the contractor reached his house, he never mentioned to me on the phone that he wasn't at the house. If he had told me that at that time, I could have rerouted my contractor. Now, having said all of that, it would not have mattered. The contractor was not going to be able to reschedule the project for at least 1.5 weeks. The homeowner did not want to wait. It is correct that we did not finish the project, but we never got a chance to start by the homeowner's own conflict."
I like shopping with local people and appreciated that BMG is a family run business.
I can recommend this company to my friends.
We went to them in early May to discuss flooring options for our dining room. They took the time to review all of our options and sent us home with several samples. I was very indecisive on my choice and they were fabulously patient and even able to send for a sample of a floor they didn't have originally. (They had that flooring company, just not that sample).
Once we picked our floor, Jim came out and did the measurements and we had the quote the next day. The quote was very reasonable and very close to what was estimated as Jim is quick to give you a ballpark from the beginning of the process.
Once we agreed on the quote, we had the installation scheduled and the service was provided and completed in one day (again, this is for one room).
The installers were polite, respectful, clean and did a fantastic job.
I am so happy with our new floor. We will definitely be using them again for our other flooring needs.
When I ordered from BMG they were able to get a good deal from the manufacturer on solid hardwood flooring that saved me money.
The flooring arrived on schedule and was delivered quickly. After I installed the flooring I ordered final door trim. That came on schedule. Overall I was very pleased with their professionalism and the help and advice they gave me.
Made sure my measurments were correct
ordered and has on time for install
"The members had every reason to be dissatisfied with the tardiness of the countertop installer. He is a sub-contractor who we have discontinued using as a result of this job. I was unaware of any problem until I got their message on my phone system. She called and left it on a Saturday afternoon when we are closed. When I got the message on Monday I called and talked to the member and explained my relationship to the man. I followed it up with a letter of apology and advised them that we would no longer use the subcontractor because of this experience. Her husband called me back and thanked me for the letter and said he felt a lot better about us after my explanation and apology. When the members first contacted me it was obvious they were looking for the lowest possible price. It was obvious they were operating with a very tight budget. This subcontractor is the lowest priced person I know of, so that is why I used him. As I recall, his price was about $300 under the next best estimate she received. And she is wrong in stating that she only heard from me to request final payment. She must have written this review before we got everything settled."
