Small jobs welcome

"Nic was great to work with and did quality work installing a retaining wall, pavers, and landscaping to provide a level area in our back yard for outdoor sitting and fire pit area. His pricing was very reasonable and we would highly recommend him to anyone needing this sort of work."

"Super job and started on time. They did a great job on both projects - both the driveway and the section of the driveway they underpinned with a great looking retaining wall."

"Willy showed up as promised to do an estimate. I was looking for a bathroom remodeling solution that would not require removing all of the existing wall tile from the 1960s. Willy suggested a much more reasonable solution than another contractor who did an estimate because he replaced the old tile around the new tub with decorative tile to give the whole bathroom a newer look. He actually completed the whole job while I was out of town on vacation, which saved me time getting the house on the market. He was very professional in all of my dealings with him. My only complaint is that his crew did not haul off the trash from the remodeling job.

"Miguel landscaped our new home with an amazing eye for detail and beauty. He kept his commitment to complete our project over a 2 day window. He & his crew came a day early due to a forecast of rain. They were professional, diligent and conscientious with every aspect of this project; from unloading and installing landscaper’s tarp, topsoil, mulch & plants to cleaning the walkways and worksite. He is creative & has an eye for design. He used different landscape materials, black cypress mulch, river rock & pavers & installed them in a way that is beautiful, functional and easy to maintain. River rock was placed at the base of all our downspouts. A paver patio along with a privacy panel now serves as a place for our trashcan, portable generator, hose etc. He recommended and installed plants that complimented our home and accommodated our busy schedule of limited time for yard work. In summary, he along with his small crew created a simple, affordable & eye catching landscape for our home. It’s a pleasure to sit on the porch and just enjoy the scenery. Miguel, Valeria & team are easy to work with, responsive, talented and affordable. We highly recommend Perez landscape and Hardscaping."

"They did an awesome job of cutting down two massive water oaks in a small confined space. The entire job involved climbing, cutting and lowering the cut pieces to the ground. In the end the job was done on time and with no damage to the property. Finally, the price was great for the work done. I would highly recommend them for tree work and removal. Also people of the Upstate SC these, i live in Anderson SC and they came and did the work from Brevard NC. So ask they to quote if you live around here."

Retaining Wall Installers questions, answered by experts

They prevent soil erosion, add flat space, and enhance property aesthetics.

While vinyl is the least costly material for building a retaining wall, the most cost-effective method is to use wood or concrete blocks for a DIY retaining wall under 2 feet tall. Wood is inexpensive but lasts 20 years or more with care. Concrete can cost a little more but is stronger and will last longer with less maintenance.

Generally, a railroad tie retaining wall consisting of a single line of ties should be between 3 and 4 feet tall—and the height often tops out at around 6 feet. You can go taller, but you may need additional footings and reinforcements, including a second layer of railroad ties to support the added weight of the soil it’s holding back.

The longevity of flood walls depends on how they were constructed, but most wood, gravel, and cement flood walls last 10 years. While aluminum flood walls may cost far more initially, they can be a good investment as they can last decades and will not be damaged by exposure to the elements.

To maintain the integrity of your landscape, a retaining wall must be installed if the slope of the angle exceeds 35 degrees. The lean of the wall must be 1 inch per 12 inches in height to disperse the weight of the soil uniformly and guarantee the correct drainage of the soil.
