"The quality and the quantity of the work is unbelievable. The project was top notch. Not only did they consistently show up on time, but they finished the project early and were willing to reschedule the final walkthrough multiple times to accommodate our schedule. Final project turned out great!""

"These guys were great!! We had a delivery of a massive new front, all in one piece, very heavy. They handled it of total care and stored it in our garage with all the very long trim pieces for installation next day. Kind of an unusual item to deliver so was concerned about the glass, scratching, damage. Again, 5-star handling and very pleased!!"

"These guys were amazing! Very knowledgeable about their jobs, humorous personalities while getting the job done. This was a planned 4 day job these guys got it done in 3. They painted my new interior which I was so excited with the final coat. They performed a cleaning service with the old furniture being moved out, it smelled so nice fresh & clean from vacuuming, wiping down, dusting, sweeping, for all my new furniture to be moved in. They also asked if I would like for it to be put in its place as they brought it in. It felt like a completely new home. I will definitely be using them again & recommending to others. Thanks guys with a tool!"

"There were issues with materials sourcing and Trey and Alex found alternatives that were better and less expensive. They have a good eye for design that aided in the execution of my plans. In other words, they were more than just builders, they could map out the plan very well to fit it in to my existing landscape. They were on time and under budget. They went above and beyond the scope of the project, including but not limited to remulching a huge area around the pathway they installed because the heavy equipment accidentally disturbed a small area. They could have just mulched the disturbed area, but they extended the mulch so that it blended with the existing mulch. I plan on hiring them to build a pond later this year. They were outstanding and by far the best contractors I have hired both on and off Angi. I have had major remodels in my house and outside in my pool and yard probably a dozen contractors in all. They are head and shoulders above the others. Thank you Angi."

Architects questions, answered by experts

You'll find Arts and Crafts homes across the country in varying styles. On the East Coast, bungalows and Tudor Revivals fill the Boston area through New Jersey. In the West, Mission-style homes incorporate terracotta shingles, white stucco siding, and rounded archways.

An architect ensures compliance with building codes, maximizes space efficiency, enhances functionality, and integrates energy-efficient solutions. Their expertise can also improve workflow and customer experience.

Hire an architect at the very beginning of your home-building process. An architect’s training and expertise can guide the process from start to finish to ensure you don’t miss or have to redo any important steps. An architect will also provide valuable input on design, materials, and other details right from the beginning.

It is technically possible to draw your own blueprints, but the process is extremely involved and really demands help from an expert. A professional architect has an understanding of design elements, interior design, the functionality of different rooms in a home, and how everything from furniture, outlets, and light switches should be laid out to serve you and your family best. Hiring an architect for blueprints can get expensive, but it’s the most responsible way to begin a new construction project. If you’re keen on DIYing, you could consider starting the process and then having a professional take over.

A construction manager is particularly useful in the case of a large-scale build with custom design elements, so it’s usually worth it to hire one. They can help manage your budget, maintain quality control, oversee timelines, and navigate unexpected hurdles. While construction managers are pricey, they can actually save money in the long run by identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring the project stays within budget.
