"I was disappointed that they did not rake the leaves. I still have a lot of leaves on the ground. Other than that they were very nice to work with. I feel that the miscomunication was my fault as I did not speak up about what I wanted. They showed up when they said they would and were quick and their cost was reasonable"

"I've been beyond impressed with the yard work done here. From the very first visit, he showed up on time, came prepared, and got straight to work — no hand-holding needed. What really sets him apart is his attention to detail. Everything is trimmed, edged, and cleaned up like he actually cares about the finished result — because he clearly does. The yard always looks neat and well-organized when he's done, and nothing is ever left half-finished. He consistently goes above and beyond what I ask for, noticing things I didn't even mention and taking care of them anyway. On top of that, he's incredibly easy to reach and always responds quickly, which makes scheduling and communication a breeze. Respectful of the property, resourceful with whatever the job throws at him — I couldn't ask for better. Highly recommend without any hesitation!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

The EPA enforces hazardous waste laws and ensures people dispose of their hazardous waste responsibly. Depending on where you live, your state’s hazardous waste regulatory agency may also enforce these laws. Individually, it’s up to each household to properly dispose of their hazardous waste.

While the EPA provides guidelines for homeowners to perform DIY lead paint removal, it is a risky process and generally not recommended due to serious health risks and strict regulatory requirements. The process requires precise safety precautions, such as wearing a respirator and protective eyeglasses, creating sealed exits, and using a HEPA vacuum for cleanup. To ensure the job is done safely, effectively, and in compliance with regulations, it is highly recommended to hire a professional lead abatement company. Certified professionals have the necessary training, experience, and specialized equipment (like chemical strippers and HEPA vacuums) to handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.

It is safe to remove old linoleum, but it may require the help of a specialist due to the risk of asbestos in the material. Before you cut into linoleum or try to peel it up, have it tested for asbestos. If it tests positive, professionals will need to remove it to prevent the risk of health issues from airborne toxic particles. If it’s asbestos-free, DIY removal is possible and safe.

You can sell a house with lead paint, but there are several requirements. If you are aware that lead paint exists anywhere in the home, you must disclose that to potential buyers. Required home inspections will often uncover lead paint, especially for older houses where lead paint may still be a problem. If you have taken steps to encapsulate lead, you should provide buyers with full documentation of the project so it won’t cause any problems later on.

If your roof was constructed between 1930 and 1970, there’s a possibility that the shingles contain asbestos. If that’s the case, you should hire a professional for repairs and replacement, as they’ll have the necessary equipment to stay safe from such a hazardous and cancer-causing substance. If your home was constructed after this period, it’s unlikely that the shingles in place are toxic. In most cases, asbestos shingles are not recyclable, while standard asphalt shingles are recyclable.
