Because the house was on a crawl space and the distance from the ground to the house was about two blocks high or about 22 inches high, a tunnel rat could not fit into that space to obtain an accurate assessment of the foundation issue. I know, I was a tunnel rat during one of my tours in Vietnam. Mount Valley Foundation Services project manager could only give me an estimate of the foundation issue. Based on his experience, he provided a very good estimate what was wrong and what it would take to level the house and cost. What that meant was they would have to tear out the subflooring exposing the crawl space area. Every room offered a new surprise; however, the project manager was on target regarding his assessment.
