Small jobs welcome

"Very happy with MNL and Hector (the owner). Hector was "old school" in a good way. He was always on time, answered all questions (in-person, via text and email) and finished on time and on budget."

"Jimmy Zeski, the Owner provided us with a complete, itemized schedule and price of work to Pressure Wash our 2,000 SF Log Home, to caulk and completely stain the house with Honey colored stain and caulk that we, the homeowners, purchased from Southland Log Homes, Irmo, SC.
To say that the workers from FreshCoat of Charleston, SC were professional paint/stain personnel would be a complete understatement of their work and dedication to providing an absolutely top-of-the-line new finish and appearance to our log home! The two workmen, who were assigned to our job, Edwin and Armando worked in extremely hot and humid conditions for almost five complete days.  (They had the added problem of having to work around an extended period of time to allow the house to dry three days after pressure washing, and then had to have three days of dry weather after caulking and staining were performed).  These two men at all times provided extremely professional work, cleaning up and policing up the area each and every day.  To say they went above and beyond the scope of work would be doing an injustice to their professionalism.  The Owner, Jimmy, stopped by several times checking on the progress of the work, and my wife and I feel that he was extremely satisfied with the work and progress of the job.
My wife and I would re-hire this group for any future jobs and we actually questioned them concerning performing future work on our home in the following four or five years.  You can not go wrong hiring FreshCoat to perform your paint/staining jobs!

"I couldn’t be happier with the work done. it was professional, on time, and extremely detail-oriented. The drywall installation was seamless, with smooth finishes and clean lines throughout my home. They respected my space, kept the job site tidy, and completed the project right on schedule. What impressed me most was their communication they explained every step and made sure I felt comfortable with the process. Plaster is a pretty tough surface, but it can still sustain damage from things like bumping against it, water issues, dampness, extreme humidity changes, and plain old age. Most plaster walls last hundreds of years and will only be taken down to the base layer when major repairs are required. Being cautious around the wall, not placing furniture against it, and ensuring stable humidity are all great ways to reduce possible damage.

Wet-sanding and dry-sanding each have pros and cons. Dry-sanding is less messy, so it’s a good option if you’re trying to minimize dust (for example, if you’re sanding an occupied home or working with particularly dry or dusty drywall mud). However, dry-sanding is quicker because you don’t have to keep rinsing a sponge or wait for it to dry before painting.

Yes, it matters which side of drywall you use. One side is smooth, and the other is rough. The smooth side should be facing outward, toward the room, while the rough side should be hidden and facing the studs and framing of the house. The smooth side will be easier to apply tape, joint compound, and, later, paint to.

Whether a drywall anchor can be reused depends on its material, type, and the method of removal. Plastic anchors, including expansion and self-drilling types, are generally designed for single use as they tend to break or deform upon removal. Metal anchors, such as toggle bolts, are more durable and may be reusable if they are not damaged during extraction. However, with toggle bolts, the toggle piece can fall into the wall cavity when the bolt is removed, making it difficult to retrieve. If an anchor is damaged during removal, for instance by having its head cut off, it cannot be reused regardless of the material.

Drying alone can take 1 to 4 hours to dry to the touch per plaster layer, but some types of plaster take several hours longer to dry. However, this doesn’t mean the job is done because plaster doesn’t fully harden until it cures, which can take a few days to a couple of weeks. It may take even longer if you’re building a new, pretty thick plaster wall. Allow the plaster to cure before painting it.
