"Izzy and his team do great work. We've hired them for both a large fencing/gate project and smaller porch railing tasks, and both were completed on time and with great professionalism. Izzy excels at troubleshooting and finding creative fixes. I highly recommend Aztec Fencing!"

"Havier and his crew did a remarkable job installing a new sprinkler system. They not only installed the system in one day but I has laid sod ahead of contacting Javier to put in the system. Javier said they would peel back the new sod and hand dig to install the system since the trencher would tear up the sod. Javier was correct everything went back the way it was to start with. You can not tell anything was dug up. Excellent job!!! I would highly recommend Javier Ramos Landscaping LLC for your landscaping needs. They really take pride in their work."

"Jesse and Jason were so wonderful to work with along with JC and his son. We love the time spent in working out a design and they did a wonderful job pulling out our existing 30-year-old landscaping and replacing it with beautiful plants that were healthy and good size. We are beyond happy with the results and how they cleaned up the yard everyday after work until the project was done. We are recommending this company to everyone we know who is in need of a landscaping professional company, five stars plus!"

The crew transformed my yard completely—everything from trimming to planting was done with care and precision. They also made sure to clean up thoroughly after the job. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and high-quality landscaping services"

Excavating questions, answered by experts

No, a ditch isn’t a trench. A ditch is an open, relatively shallow channel that’s carved out of the ground and used for drainage purposes. In contrast, a trench is a deeper excavation that’s entirely underground. Trenches have many uses, including gas lines, sewage systems, and electrical wiring. Unlike trenches, ditches don’t get filled back in with dirt after they’re dug.

Hardscaping often requires preparation of the ground in the area where the feature is being installed. This can include digging, compacting, and leveling the soil, ensuring adequate drainage, and removing any existing plants. The extent of preparation needed will depend on the type and size of the hardscaping feature being installed.

A perc test can take anywhere from one to eight hours to complete. The total time depends on factors like the amount of excavation required, the depth and width of the holes, and whether multiple test holes are needed. For a single hole, the process of filling it with water and monitoring the drainage rate usually takes less than an hour. Professionals can often complete the entire test in a single day. While it's possible to get results the same day, some companies may take a few days to provide the official report.

The digging depth will depend on the size of the trencher you use. Even smaller units can dig up to 4 feet deep, which is plenty for a DIY job. However, much larger trenchers can reach a depth of 18 feet and are better used by a team of pro contractors, not a single DIYer. As with all home improvement projects, use the right tool for the job and proceed with caution.

The cost to drill a well varies, with a national average of around $5,500 for a 150-foot well. However, prices can fluctuate significantly based on several factors, including your location, the required well depth, geological conditions, local regulations, and the specific drilling methods used. For the most accurate cost assessment, it is best to research and get quotes from local well-drilling professionals in your area.
