"Stuart and Wellmade concrete really came through. They were very punctual and did exactly what they said they would. Very professional with a contract and stayed right on schedule. The slopes of the slab were perfect. The smooth finish I asked for was beautiful! They left the yard clean like they found it. I definitely recommend them. It was a turnkey operation! They did it all."

"The whole project was excellently done. Joe met with me quickly after I called him. We reviewed the project on site, and he developed a contract within 3 days which clearly specified my stated goals. The price seemed very fair, and he did not increase the price despite some minor changes and additions I requested. Joe has 40 years in the concrete business and it shows. He provided technical information which included utilizing fiber, rebar, steel screening and root cutting to strengthen the concrete. All workers were highly skilled and friendly. Workers cleaned up each day after work. Project was well done, a quality piece of work of which we are very proud. We highly recommend Joe's Concrete. You will like them."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

Pressure washing your home or fence can make a major difference in the appearance and may even help extend the life of the structure you’re cleaning. Some of the most common areas that people pressure wash around their property include:

  • Driveway: $100–$250

  • Patio: $100–$200

  • Fence: $150–$300

  • Gutters: $50–$150

  • Roof: $450–$700

  • Siding: $150–$1,400

  • One-story house: $150–$750

  • Two-story house: $400–$1,400

  • Three-story house: $700–$1,800

Jet washers can last for up to 10 years, but a more exact timeline for your jet washer depends on the frequency of use and maintenance. Some machines are given a rating of their approximate total hours of usage, which can help determine how long yours will stick around based on how many hours you use it each year. Aside from learning how to properly use the jet washer, you’ll want to keep it stored safely and securely so that it won’t rust or get damaged between uses.

To extend the lifespan of an asphalt surface, sealcoat it every 2-3 years, repair cracks promptly, and clean it regularly to remove debris.

It depends on the type of surface, but if you’re preparing to pressure wash a driveway, you’ll start by using a broom or leaf blower to get rid of dirt, leaves, and other debris. Then, move any nearby items (like outdoor furniture and potted plants) and cover in-ground plants with a tarp or plastic sheet. After that, you can apply degreaser spray or another pretreatment solution to any stains and scrub them with a stiff brush before pressure washing.

Maintaining a driveway depends on its material. For concrete and asphalt, it's best to clean the surface thoroughly twice a year with a stiff broom and a pressure washer to remove accumulated dirt and debris. Sealing the driveway is crucial to protect it from water damage and freeze-thaw cycles. Before applying a sealant, pressure wash the surface to remove any loose sealant, dirt, or stains, as sealing over them will trap them. Any cracks or expansion joints should be filled with a flexible polyurethane caulk or asphalt sealer. In colder climates, use sand instead of salt for de-icing. Sand helps melt snow and ice without accelerating the freeze-thaw process, which can cause cracks.
