"Thanks to Angi for this recommendation! Nate Wolfe of Top Notch Cleaning Solutions responded fast, drove an hour and 15 min and showed up early for his appointment at our residence. He said how he’d tackle our gutter cleaning, and did what he said he would do on this cold day. Our gutters were caked up badly with wet leaves, hardened sludge, and even ice, but not any more. Professional and refreshingly polite, his communication and customer service skills are way, way above normal. Lastly, his clean up was effective. 👍"

Customers say: Quality work

"George did excellent work on some pretty dirty windows in a house we recently purchased. He cleaned the windows inside and out and scrubbed the screens and sills. Would definitely hire again."

"This company was very professional and flexible in our interaction With them. I had to reschedule the work, a few times, due to family concerns. Mr. Floyd was very accessible to me, and helped me to get my power washing and gutter cleaning done, in a timely manner, with our painting contractor. Service and cleanup was great, and I would recommend them to friends."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

While a biohazard cleanup sounds like a scary process, knowing what to expect can help ease your concerns and set you up for success. It’s good to note that more than one professional might be needed depending on your situation, but that will be determined during the assessment. What you can expect during a home biohazard cleanup is the following:

  • Assessment: The first step in this process is for a biohazard cleanup professional to assess the damage. They create a report that includes the biohazard safety level, the needed damage cleanup, and the time it should take to complete the project.

  • Setup: The cleanup professional prepares the site to prevent cross-contamination and reduce toxicity risk. This process can include tarping and creating decontamination zones.

  • Removal of surface contamination: Any contaminated materials are removed from the area, starting with large materials followed by small ones. The professional can assess any floor-related damage once everything is removed from the site.

  • Salvaging items: The biohazard cleanup professionals assess which items can be saved and which are contaminated beyond the point of saving. Those deemed unsafe will be disposed of immediately.

  • Waste disposal: The next step is carefully disposing of the hazardous waste. Your professional will place the contaminated items in specific containers to keep the contamination from spreading.

  • Disinfection: The house will be disinfected and odor-neutralized. Even more minor details, like light switches and bulbs, will be disinfected so that they do not recontaminate the area in the future.

  • Restoration: Once the decontamination is complete, the last step is to restore the home. This includes repairing the damage to flooring, walls, or even the home's foundation.

Yes, many services offer waxing as part of the polishing process. Confirm with your provider.

Steam mopping effectively cleans and sanitizes floors to kill germs and remove ingrained grease and grime. However, vacuuming or sweeping the flooring first is always a good idea. This removes the larger dust and debris particles that can end up being pushed around the floor by a non-suctioning steam cleaner.

You’ve tackled the pee stain on the carpet, but that smell still lingers in the air. Yuck! Fortunately, you can use certain sprays to help remove the odor. A homemade baking soda spray, made with 1/4 cup of baking soda and 2 cups of water in a spray bottle, can help remove the smell of pee. You can also use an enzymatic cleaner directly on the pee stain to deodorize it.

The best way to help a family member or friend declutter their home is to hire a professional organizer or cleaner to do it for them. However, you can also help them make a plan to tackle the clutter. Sit down with them and sort through the items, making piles of what to keep, toss, and donate. Focus on one area at a time to avoid overwhelming them. If they have trouble letting go of some items, ask them when they last used each item, what its purpose is, and whether it has sentimental value. The answers to these questions can help you advise them on handling clutter.
