"They were able to replace the skylight in less than 2 weeks after the quote. They did a good job and make the finish on the inside look good. A few weeks later, there was a heavy rain and my new skylight is no longer leaking like my old one that was replaced."

"Mr. Jerry Anderson was very prompt in returning my initial call and stopped by the house within a few hours to assess the work that needed to be done and give me an estimate. He sent me a written estimate before the end of the day. He was able to start and finish the job within a few days of my initial call. He was pleasant to work with and does honest work. I highly recommend using him and will use him if I need a roofer in the future.

"I called Anderson Roofing on a Friday, and spoke to Jerry the owner. He drove to my house, looked at the repair that was needed, and called me at work while he was at the house. He gave me the estimate over the phone and said that they can have the repair done on Monday morning. I told him I would call him back. On Saturday, I called Jerry and asked if Monday was still available, he said yes, I asked him to do the repair. Monday morning, his two sons show up and within a few hours they were done. They did a great job and you can not tell that any repair work was done on the roof. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Anderson Roofing for any and all of your roofing needs."

"Kevin and his crew worked efficiently and diligently in a quick and able manner to complete all wood repair tasks as well as sealing six skylights which showed evidence of rain penetration. The work was done professionally and in a timely manner. The crew cleaned up everything and removed
all traces of wood remains and debris. We are very satisfied with the work done as well as the reasonable prices that were charged. We would not hesitate to call upon Kevin and his crew to do additional work in the future."

Skylights questions, answered by experts

When planning out skylights and deciding how big they should be, it's important to look at the dimensions of the interior space. In addition to changing a room aesthetically, skylights influence the illumination and temperature of the space below. The U.S. Department of Energy recommends that a skylight’s size should never be more than 5% of the floor area in rooms with many windows.

The decision to remove a skylight depends on your specific circumstances and preferences. There are several reasons why you might consider removing a skylight, such as extensive damage, a desire for better insulation, or the need to change the room's layout. Additionally, if the skylight is causing leaks or other issues, it may be necessary to remove and replace it (which can incur additional skylight installation costs). It's important to assess your specific situation and consult with professionals if needed to make an informed decision.

Professionals repair or seal a skylight by inspecting for damages, resealing any gaps with appropriate weatherproofing materials, replacing cracked glass or seals, and ensuring the frame is tightly fitted to prevent future leaks and ensure proper drainage.

The type of lighting you choose can have a big part in the aesthetic and function of your space. Ambient lighting refers to indirect or diffused lighting that evenly reaches most areas of the space. Task lighting illuminates specific areas, such as a workspace. Accent lighting draws attention to details in your home, and decorative lighting draws attention to itself.

Yes, solar tubes work during the winter as long as it’s light outside and they aren’t covered by snow. Sun tunnels are made to work year-round to bring in natural light, and some people find them even more beneficial during the winter. With less daylight outside, it can be even more important to bring brightness into homes to reduce electricity costs.
