"Not well overall. Electricians seemed technically quite capable, but had to have them back after initial work because 2 circuits were not working (but which they did correct). A few weeks later on the first occurrence of a Dominion Energy power failure, the Generac generator did not kick in -- upon checking it myself, I found that it had been left in the OFF state by their service men on the second visit to repair the two non-working circuits. They did not return my phone call on this matter, but rather sent me two days later an "Appointment Reminder" e-mail without having contacted me to have made the appointment in the first place. I called them and expressed my displeasure, but agreed to the "scheduled" appointment that afternoon between 2pm and 4pm. In the meantime, I ran some errands and came home to discover that a power failure had occurred while I was out -- and that again the Generac generator had not kicked in. I waited all afternoon for their service person to arrive, but they never showed up. At 4:30 pm, I called them and learned that they had sent out a service man during the time I had been gone (without my knowledge or approval) and that they had never bothered to let me know that no one would be coming during the 2pm to 4pm scheduled appointment. Obviously, they do not consider treating a customer with any courtesy. I asked to have the service man who had come while I was not at home to phone me, especially to explain whether or not he had cause that particular power failure; no one ever returned my call. I was also displeased there was no paperwork done following any of their three service calls. I wrote a letter describing all this to Charleston Electric's management. I have had no response from this company's management. This shows me that the discourtesy shown me really originates from the company's management. Since it was not clear to me that the Generac generator was in working order following the third service call done while I was out (after all, there had been an unexplained power failure), I hired someone from another company to come and check it out. I give them a C overall only because their technicians do seem quite capable. I believe the company is just poorly managed."

He was very patient and thorough in explaining the system operation and Bluetooth software. He insured that I understood everything and answered any and all questions. I have only had the system for a short time but it is performing perfectly. This project is to replace n old system. This new system cost $1500 less than the 20 year old system it replaced. They explained in detail how the installation would proceed and remained engaged throughout the process. They completed the install, briefed us on system operation and cleaned up before departing. "I found him off Craigslist, I didn't find him on Angie's List. He did his thing, he was on time, but I thought he was outrageously expensive for what he did. I didn't know it was Mister Sparky. I went on to Craigslist and they had this one ad that didn't identify who they were. They just said that they were super cheap and the lowest cost etc etc etc. I called them up and I set up an appointment and then Mister Sparky rolls in to the driveway. I had no experience with Mister Sparky. He is the on time electrician. He showed up, he wasn't in the house for more than 50 minutes. All he did really was, he took a wall socket and turned it upside down. I had the polarity upside down, I didn't know it, it was a dimmer switch, a really simple job that he knew and I didn't know it. It was knocking off some wall sockets and then he installed a ceiling light fixture for me that I couldn't do because I just needed three hands and I didn't have them. So, he had the experience. That was all he did. He really just did practically nothing and he charged me $180. It was like $200 an hour. I live in Mount Pleasant. Mount Pleasant is on the Carolina coast here, north of Charleston. It has a lot of people like myself who aren't native to the area. Mount Pleasant in here is perhaps the state's most affluent suburb. It's a very popular place because of its proximity to the downtown of Charleston, with all those attraction for dining etc. The rest of the population kind of lives elsewhere. My experience and I've been here eight years, there is like a Mount Pleasant price and there is a price for rest of the people, wherever they live. That's the problem that you have. You mention that you live in Mount Pleasant and all of a sudden the price is, "How much?" You just have to kind of grin and bear it and shop around. That's just the way it goes around here. They think everybody is rich who lives in here. I pulled them off Craigslist. They didn't identify themselves. They rolled in the driveway and I got a $200 bill, I was a little bit shocked. It was $200 an hour. I was expecting a little over $100 or something, not even that much for what he did. They were on time."

"The company does great work. I am please with the work. They worked fast and were very friendly. They will be installing more lights for me in the near future. The lights that I bought for him to install in the kitchen doesn’t light up the kitchen enough, so since I liked the design of light so much the owner suggested that i place the same exact light in another area of the kitchen. Great idea. He was hundreds dollars cheaper than other quotes that I received. They do wonderful work. I have already recommended him to my sister that needs electrical work."

"It was fine.  I probably wouldn't use them again as I had them give me a quote for another job.  He said that his secretary would call me and she never did.  So I probably wouldn't use them again. It's hard to say about his quality of work since it was just installing two lights.  He was professional but a little flip I thought.  I was a little concerned because his helpers hands were dirty and we were putting up white blinds.  I didn't feel they appreciated my business.  They were just going thru the motions.  It seemed they were fishing for big jobs.  Overall it was fine.  But I wasn't super impressed."
