"I had a plumbing need in my basement. It was a leaky sewer drain stack. I contacted two different companies thru Angi's list. Both came to look at the job and quote it. John Morel came in almost one half the cost. The other company wanted to do extra things do do the job, seems that was to make it easier on him. John proved that it was not necessary. He was very professional, quick and did it right. Thank you Angi's list. I called them to verify his reviews. He is a 5 star plumber. I would definitely recommend him. John N"

"J&K personnel were very friendly and professional. They came to assess the job in the early morning and by mid-morning they were underway. Although it was more work for them, John suggested an alternative approach to the job which resulted in a much more pleasing outcome in that all of the plumbing was concealed under my deck. My initial expectation was that some of it would be visible when sitting on the deck. Overall a great job at a great price."

"I have a Home Warranty and the company couldn't find someone to take the job. They have too much red tape for most companies. So, I finally got permission to seek my own plumber to install a new water heater. Arthur was extreme responsive everytime I had to ask for additional paperwork (required by the warranty company). He was quick to schedule and quick getting the job done. During the install, he discovered a venting issue that was not up to code. He quickly resolved this issue at a very reasonable price. Arthur is an old time Craftsman's that takes pride in his work. I will be keeping his info and highly recommend him."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Completing plumbing projects in Warwick delivers immediate benefits like reliable water pressure, improved water quality, and reduced risk of winter pipe bursts. Over time, homeowners enjoy increased property value, smoother future renovations, and lower maintenance needs. Upgraded systems also help prevent basement flooding and support energy-efficient appliances, which is especially valuable in Warwick’s climate and for homes near the coast.

Helpful?

For plumbing projects in RI, PEX is ideal for its flexibility and resistance to freezing, while Type L copper is preferred for main supply lines, especially in areas exposed to salt air. CPVC works well for hot water lines, and PVC or cast iron are best for drainage. Using pressure-reducing valves, water softeners, and sump pumps helps address local water conditions and seasonal changes.

Helpful?

In Warwick, slab-on-grade foundations, finished basements, and narrow crawl spaces can restrict access for plumbing upgrades. Multi-story or split-level homes may present venting or water pressure challenges. Signs like uneven water flow, visible pipe corrosion, or complex pipe layouts often indicate potential complications. Homes built before 1960 or those with well water systems typically require extra planning for successful plumbing projects.

Helpful?

In Warwick, the property’s age, foundation type, and exposure to coastal elements all influence plumbing project planning. Older homes often require pipe replacements due to outdated galvanized or cast iron lines, while slab foundations limit access and may require rerouting. Properties near the bay face higher corrosion risks, so choosing corrosion-resistant materials and proper insulation is crucial to prevent leaks and water damage.

Helpful?

During plumbing projects in Warwick, professionals closely assess the main water and sewer line entry points, as well as access to basements, crawl spaces, and utility rooms. The foundation—whether slab or basement—determines pipe routing options. Special attention is given to kitchen and bathroom locations, and homes near wetlands or flood zones may require additional drainage solutions to protect against water intrusion.
