"Triple M did a fantastic job with my yard cleanup this week. They cut back the bushes, cleared out the brush, and mowed our lawn all within days of me reaching out. Super fast response time and quality work. Thanks again!"

Customers say: Quick response

"I had about 10 ancient shrubs to remove, stumps included. It was quite a bit of work. While I expected collateral damage-holes, dirt all around, etc, they did a good cleanup, so not nearly as bad as I'd thought it would be. Polite guys, too! This was not an easy job, and was very reasonably priced!"

"I used this service to find a company to trim tall bushes and remove vines from the bushes. Within minutes I got a call from Brandon. He listened with patience as I described the work that I wanted to have done in my yard. Later the dame day he and his business partner, Ben, came out to my house and gave me a written quote on the spot. I hired B&B Removal on the spot. Both men were very professional and very courteous. We set up a day and they gave me a time. On the day of the job they showed up at the time that said they would and completed the job. My wife and I were very pleased with the results. I highly recommend them."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.

The safest way to remove lead-based paint is by letting a professional take over. For most people, lead paint removal costs an average of $3,400. You should never attempt to dry sand old lead-based paint surfaces by hand. Most professionals use a paint stripper to do the job followed by wet scraping, but if you don’t want to remove lead paint, another option is to paint over it. Only consider this option if the old lead paint finish isn’t flaking or cracked.

The EPA enforces hazardous waste laws and ensures people dispose of their hazardous waste responsibly. Depending on where you live, your state’s hazardous waste regulatory agency may also enforce these laws. Individually, it’s up to each household to properly dispose of their hazardous waste.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Professional lead-paint abatement companies use a variety of methods to remove lead-based paint, depending on each particular situation. Some of the most common methods include:

  • Total removal: $8–$17 per square foot

  • Demolition and replacement: $1,000–$15,000 per project

  • Encapsulation: $4 per square foot

  • Enclosure: $10 per square foot

  • Chemical stripping: $10–$17 per square foot
