"We couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen backsplash. Renato truly went above and beyond, and his eye for design made all the difference. The end result exceeded our expectations, and we’re absolutely thrilled with how it turned out. We will definitely hire him again for our future projects!"

"Santino and team did excellent work when refurbishing my back deck. They were able to take the vision I had in my head and bring it to life with ease. Communication throughout the project was great, and they delivered on their promise of â Satisfaction Guaranteedâ . They told me they wouldnâ t leave until I was happy with how everything looked, and they stood true to that statement. Additionally, and most importantly, Santino was more than fair when it came to price and he and his team helped me stick to my budget. I will absolutely be using them again for other projects and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have any work done on their home."

"Flavio is an artist with tiles and enjoys his work. He and his wife were very professional and fair. They had a written contract that they were willing to negotiate reasonably. He and his crew showed up when they said they would cleaned up after their work . He returned extra tiles to the store to save me money and showed receipts.Over all a pleasure to work with."

"I cannot say enough good things about this company. I've done a lot of work in my house, and this is the best vendor I have worked with. I went into the shop to look at some samples, and I didn't find exactly what I wanted. I emailed a picture from online to Ken, who brought similar samples out to my house. I was able to find exactly what I wanted. The product is LVT.. luxury vinyl tile, and it is superb. Everyone thinks it's real ceramic tile. I've had it for 9 months now, in a very high traffic area and it looks as good as it did on day one. The installation was impeccable. Eddie did a fantastic job. I'm amazed at the detail and the precision in places like corners and around molding. He even did some extras without charging, like putting up molding in the bathroom. What an awesome team this is!!!"

"Installed pre-finished hardwood in 2 bedrooms. Very happy with the installation and the crew that installed. 2 minor issues being resolved this week. The only reason I didn’t give them a 5 is they delayed my install 2 weeks at the last minute due to lack of inventory. Don’t understand how the didn’t know level of inventory when the set the date."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

It’s possible to walk on a clay tile roof, but you run the risk of breaking or cracking the tiles if you’re not careful, so it’s best not to walk on it if you can avoid it. If you or a contractor needs roof access, be sure to distribute your weight evenly and step on the portions of tile that are also supported underneath, which depends on your tile design. Walking on any roofing material is inherently dangerous, so wear rubber-soled shoes and use safety equipment if you need to access your roof.

Add a T-shaped spacer to each corner of a tile when placing it. You’ll want to nudge the tiles closer together so the spacers are touching each corner. When you’re done installing your tile, you can remove each spacer, wash them, and use them for your next project.

Common problems include cracks, loose tiles, and grout discoloration. Proper maintenance prevents many issues.

Like glass tiles, you will not need to seal most porcelain tiles, particularly if the porcelain is already glazed. It depends on quality. Porcelain is very water resistant, but it is not 100% waterproof. To avoid staining, some homeowners use a penetrating sealer. It is also a good idea to seal your grout. Unless you use epoxy grout, grout is very porous and can harbor bacteria, mold, and mildew.

Lack of durability is the most significant downside of painting tile. However, a painted tile backsplash doesn't see the same kind of action as, say, painted flooring tiles. For backsplashes, the durability of the finish is crucial because they often require cleaning. However, you can minimize the durability problem by using mild cleaners and water on the painted surfaces.
