Exterminators use residual insecticides in either liquid or powder form to kill scorpions. These insecticides are applied directly to visible scorpions and their common hideouts and entryways in a home to kill them and prevent future infestation. Exterminators will also use diatomaceous earth at entryways to slowly kill scorpions that enter a home later.

The water and lamp test involves placing a bowl of water on the floor and shining a light over it. Fleas will then be attracted to the light and land in the bowl of water.

Bed bugs are most active when we are most inactive, typically from 2 a.m. until 5 a.m. They are cunning, and adjust their schedules according to their victims. If you work at night, for instance, your bed bugs will flip the script.
