"High quality, honesty, and kindness are few of the adjective that describe Mike and his team. The dedication and hard work put on remodeling my bathroom was amazing . It was like they were working on their own bathroom. I will recommend him and his crew for any project because I know that they will do a great job."

Customers say: Quick response

"Jon did an excellent job of transforming our outdated, broken bathroom into one that is in showroom condition. The bathroom required more work and time than anticipated and he was at our house everyday putting it all back together. We will have Jon return to our house for future jobs and we highly recommend him for any project that you are considering. Most importantly, Jon listens to and respects women. If there is a problem he will offer solutions/alternatives."

"We hired D and her cleaning crew to clean our three story 4 bedroom House and her prices were amazing, and on top of it, the quality of work was top notch. They are always willing to accommodate schedules and guest plans and have always been in time and in great communication. If anything ever needed to change, they always communicated in advance and explained the reason in detail. I would not only hire them again for EVERY cleaning service we need, but I would recommend them over any other company, and I know cleaning, coming from a cleaning background! There is no need to look no further if you came across Parkes Cleaning! They are the BEST, in all areas, price, quality, timeliness, professionalism. Plus they use all safe, environmentally friendly products that are safe around my children and pets and smell amazing! Love them!!"

Closets questions, answered by experts

There are a few reasons custom closets are expensive: materials used, the luxury factor, and time to build. The people who can afford custom closets are those who can afford increased rates, and construction workers and contractors know this and charge accordingly. The time to build custom closets is substantial, especially if expensive material is being used or intricate details (like carved wood) are added to the project.

We use storage in nearly every room of the house, so it's no surprise that we lose track of things from time to time. The best way to organize storage is to declutter each year to cut down on auxiliary items that can be donated or tossed. Once you decide what's worth keeping, create an inventory list for all boxes you won't open for at least six months.

Walk-in closets are always the biggest and can easily be more than 100 square feet. Primary bedroom closets, even if not walk-ins, are the second largest category in most homes and sit between 30 and 80 square feet. Linen closets, utility closets, and built-in closets are smaller and, depending on their usage, tend to be between 10 and 50 square feet.

Costs depend on material type, size, and additional features like lighting or sliding doors.

To prevent sagging, consider both the material and the span of the shelf. Using sturdy materials such as plywood or solid wood can provide better support than particleboard. Additionally, limiting the shelf span to 36 inches or less can reduce the risk of sagging. For longer shelves, incorporating center supports or brackets can offer additional reinforcement.
