"Your company is outstanding and we are extremely happy. Our technician Garett was prompt and polite. He was very knowledgeable and explained things about our situation that we were totally unaware of. Potentially saving us time and money down the road. "They were running late and called to ask me if I still wanted them to come. The job started out as a fixture replacement, but wound up installing new pvc pipe under the sink because a lot of the metal pipe had corroded. The crew kept me informed about what was happening. They left a little mess under my sink for me to clean up. All in all I was happy with the work they did."

Customers say: Super punctual

"Eric answered the request we submitted almost immediately and visited our home within 24 hrs to discuss what we planned to get done in our backyard. We had recently installed an above ground pool and the lawn was torn up in the process. He provided many suggestions on how to improve our current space while staying within a reasonable budget and timeframe. The job was completed in about a week, which was pretty fast considering getting rain for two days straight. We are very happy with the end result and would definitely hire him for future projects."

"The team at Nature Redesigned, including owner Joe Shaw, were top notch and professional from beginning to end. To start, I spent weeks in the early summer of 2021 trying to get a landscaper to return my calls and eventually visit my property. It was brutal. Either I would never hear back or when I did, I was told it would be months before someone would be available. When I contacted Nature Redesigned, Joe quickly followed up and scheduled a review of my property. We requested all new plant beds around the house and asked that our patio be power-washed and new polymeric sand be put in. Within two weeks Joe and his team were here getting the work done. When the team was working on the patio, they noticed water gushing up from under each tile as it was stepped on. It turns out that every time it rained, the water under the patio was never draining away correctly. I was concerned that if it was left in this condition and the soil underneath eroded year after year, the patio would eventually become uneven and/or collapse. The team at Nature Redesigned immediately had a plan for how to correct the issue and put in a new drain system the next day. Since my wife and I were not confident determining which plants would be appropriate, Joe took that responsibility and made sure that what we had would add a variety of color, be resistant to animals nibbling, and would thrive based on where they were positioned in the yard. His team were also quick to address any minor issues that arose. Everyone on the Nature Redesigned team was competent, courteous, and professional. I would highly recommend that anyone who is looking to have landscaping work done, whether for repairing damage or for adding new items (plants, patio, etc.), contact Joe Shaw and his team at Nature Redesigned."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

In some cases, operating a snake can damage your drain and pipes. This depends on the overall condition of your pipes and how gently you operate the auger. For instance, older galvanized pipes covered in zinc are susceptible to scratches when using a drain snake. Additionally, it’s common for newbies to apply too much force when extending the snake, leading to scratches and related damage. You can also crack the porcelain with an electric auger if you’re snaking a toilet drain. If you’re using a manual snake or auger, the risk is minimal.

DIY plunging or drain cleaning chemicals may help minor clogs, but professional hydro jetting ensures long-term solutions.

A clogged sewer line is not typically covered by homeowner’s insurance, though some sewer line issues are covered. For instance, damage related to a fallen tree is usually covered. Though sewer line replacement is not covered in a standard insurance policy, some companies offer add-ons for this purpose. Read the fine print before spending your own money.

It is generally not recommended to pour hot or boiling water down a drain to unfreeze pipes due to significant risks. In some cases, the sudden temperature change can cause more ice buildup or produce steam, which increases pressure and could cause the pipe to burst, leading to costly damage and potential burn injuries. While hot water might help with a partially frozen drainpipe, it is unlikely to thaw a completely blocked water pipe further down the system. Additionally, boiling water can damage plastic pipes over time. Safer and more effective methods include using a space heater near the frozen section or applying hot towels directly to the pipe.

Biodegradable drain cleaners use naturally derived ingredients, such as baking soda, vinegar, and boiling water, which bacteria and other microbes can break down. Unlike conventional cleaners that rely on corrosive bleach (sodium hydroxide), biodegradable options are gentler on fixtures and less harmful to the environment. Because they don't release harmful gasses, they are also safer to use, especially in households with children, and do not require the same safety precautions as bleach-based products.
