"I hired Hive Mind Enterprises/HME Tree Fellers to remove twenty-three pine trees planted by my father many years ago. The job was much bigger than my brother or I estimated, both in the height of the trees and the width of the trees. HME Tree Fellers were open, honest, and good-natured about this mistake, and worked hard to accommodate not only me, but also my 91 year old mother who also lives on the property. Completely topping a plum tree is a risky business. Cut too much, and you’ll kill your tree. That said, you do need to trim the top of your tree to encourage bushy growth, maintain your tree’s vase shape, and limit size.
